This was a pivotal scene for Olicity. Oliver was able to acknowledge that he COULD care for Felicity as more than a friend and Felicity's feelings were also acknowledged by him. Felicity had a crush on oliver from s1. I mean any girl who have a crush on oliver queen. lol But in this episode, her feelings for him were more than a crush

Wow, this is one of my favorite episodes in S2. To each his (her) own. I really liked the hotel conversation with Oliver and Isabelle. It has so many layers to it without even knowing other stuff. I've probably watched just that scene 50 times trying to pick up all the context clues from just the acting. Your boy is coming up in ep. 8!! Honestly if anyone watches Arrow hoping for it to be just like the comic, they will be disappointed. They give you versions of characters and relationships from the comic but they are definitely telling their own story. I mean Thea & Diggle aren’t even in the original Arrow comic and Felicity is a character from the Firestorm comic. Furthermore, at this point they have given us Sara as the canary instead of Laurel. Personally, I loved this episode. I don’t need every episode to be primarily focused on Oliver, it’s nice to see them giving the other characters some back story and development especially when it’s this kind of layered storytelling that brings them to new locations and has great action. As for the whole felicity being jealous thing, it seemed to be more like disappointment than anything. Isobel treats everyone poorly. She assumes felicity got her job on her back and she is there solely to steal Olivers company from him, so sleeping with her isn’t exactly a smart move. Especially considering he suppose to be trying to come off as more mature and step away from the playboy persona he had.

Arrow is a huge departure from the comics so yea, any Green arrow comic fans expecting a close relation to the show is gonna be disappointed, it's really telling it's own story and for the most part sometimes it's better then the comics and sometimes it's not, it's really up to the viewer to decide, as a comics reader I mostly find the show to be superior to the comics.

People should really keep in mind that not reading the comics doesn’t make you LESS of a fan. Many comics are lucky if they sell 100,000 issues yet the average comic book show has from 1-14 million viewers. The shows give Easter eggs to comic fans but the storylines are written for the general audience to pull in higher viewership. As much as I enjoy comics I know that comic readers are not the ones who solely keep these shows on the air so I can except most changes made. I don’t need to see an exact translation from print to screen and if there are aspects I don’t like, that make no sense for the character arcs in this medium, then I simply stop watching. For the most part, I just consider the arrowverse to be different continuity/alternate universe from the comics.

HAAS 18 -Arrow was never a subtle show. They made it blatantly clear in 2x01 that Oliver and Laurel were over due their their betrayal of Tommy and their other past baggage. While laurel/Oliver was ending, they had Oliver & Felicity pulling the Tarzan and Jane move on Lian Yu, made her his assistant and changed her wardrobe to lean into her sex appeal. It felt like an obvious shift in interpersonal dynamics. Even when Sara showed up and her and Oliver started sleeping together it was more about Felicitys reaction to it and Oliver trying to reassure of her importance in his life than it was about the Sara/Oliver relationship. They kissed and they fought, no real emotional intimacy was put into their relationship as a couple. More often than not any emotional vulnerability Oliver showed was with Felicity regardless of who he was sleeping with and that should have been a glaring neon sign to viewers where the show was headed for its endgame couple.

Dagenspear Dana says- He doesn't owe her, but since they are supposed to now be good friends her disappointment for him and him responding to her concern *are* perfectly understandable and very appropriate. If one of my girl friends slept with a no good guy who was trying to steal their family business, I would have a similar conversation, only it would start with, "Are you outta your mind?!"

I'm sorry, but I don't think she has the right to say anything against the situation no matter what. She's only legit had any relationship with him for not even a year and he spent a chunk of that time away from them for months. It seems more like jealousy to me too.

@@Dagenspear if you add the time from s1, then yes her relationship with oliver has been more than a year. Just coz oliver spent time between s1 and s2 in the island, does not mean her and diggle relationship with him diminished. This is why the team oliver-diggle-felicity has been the OTA of show. They feel like a real family. Diggle always gets to say his opinions if oliver does something bad in the field. This time it was felicity who found oliver doing something bad outside of the field lol The particular scene was important for both oliver and felicty. Yes there was a bit of jealousy but it was also more hurt from her to see the old playboy Oliver Queen, just screwing around lol She knows oliver can be better than that. He was CLEARLY telling her indirectly he has feelings for her. He also acknowledged that felicity had feelings for him.

she was sad that oliver was back to being a playboy. She had feelings for oliver since s1. So it was not weird at all. it was disappointment + jealously. Any logical person would get sad if your close friend and colleague starts behaving immature
