Aluminum arrows give you more chances coming out of the woods than a broken arrow, coming in, empty or getting eaten by a bear

How come you didn’t use a broadhead on the other 2 inserts

Yea no shit. Shoots a block wall and blames the inserts lolol
@DummyFace1235 жыл бұрын
Not sure what this is for exactly.. you're shooting concrete wall which takes all of the kinetic energy and puts it back into the arrow. Arrows aren't meant to handle that..

Hokibukisa Some stump shoot with trad bows, some want to use arrow after pass throughs when they hit dirt/rock/tree, some want the arrow not to fail on impact of large bone. Trust and confidence in gear is everything plus the more durable an arrow the longer it will last.
@joshuahunt12104 жыл бұрын
I'll add to backcountry's reply and say that when you spend $12-$17 per arrow you want to know it'll be durable enough to stick around for a minute.... We're not all made of money so when we spend it we want to know our investment is sound.

I agree with Hokibukisa here. No animal has a shoulder as strong and solid as a concrete wall. If you think that an arrow is weak because it shot concrete and broke then maybe not shoot concrete.

Your surprised when they break after shooting them at a brick wall ?? I’m definitely in that strange part of you tube again
@wrxified2 жыл бұрын
😂 This was the first thing that entered my head when I watched the video. I guess maybe it tests the limits of the different configurations but a brick wall in no way is similar to shooting an Elk, Bear or other game animal. Even if you manage to place a shot in the gnarliest area of the shoulder the bone is going to break apart and move in a way that the brick walls doesn’t. Maybe a good test for people who use brick walls as backstops for their targets?

You and wrxified are clueless and obviously not archers.

Bang on! Its a giant lever against the inside wall of the shaft. The internal part need to be equal to or longer than the external, including the broadhead.

What model is the gold tip arrow?
@ptcast7094 жыл бұрын
Good information! I have been shooting these arrows for 3 years and I always find it when my arrow pass through or hits something hard, the tip either was bent out of alignment with the shaft or the connection with the outsert to shaft was warped or destroyed beyond usage. I lost a lot of these arrows this way. What solutions/outserts have you found that works without having to sand down the shaft to fit it like you did with the gold tip system?
@backcountrycache85284 жыл бұрын
PT Adventures Iron Will Outfitters has a Impact collar with a steel HIT insert that will work. If I wasn’t shooting Day Six arrows system that would be my go to.

What type of gold tip insert were you using?
@jpbeck12 жыл бұрын
I guess the moral of the story is don’t shoot cinder blocks? I wouldn’t expect any arrow with any insert or outsert to survive. But it’s your money.

You shot at an uneven surface, which means every impact had the potential to be vastly different in terms of force vectors. As such, this doesn't tell me much other than that the Gold tip appears to work well, but with an impact surface that is so uneven, a larger than normal sample size of data is required to clean any actionable information from this.

what's the spine on the TKO and what GT insert size did you use? thinking of doing the same cause of your video.
@backcountrycache85285 жыл бұрын
havoc2125 300 GT collar, on 300 TKO. I had to sand the end a little bit to fit collar but nothing major. With a good epoxy definitely a solid setup.

What kind of broadhead is that you have on your arrow?
@backcountrycache85285 жыл бұрын
Joel Graber Its Abowyer, 200gr, stainless steel. Stay away from the high carbon ones, they break at the ferrule.
