Very nice looking board. Shame it is intel; if the aesthetic carried over to MSI's AMD equivalent mobos I'd consider this. The amp I'm looking at for the Hi-Fi has similar Rose Gold highlights. It'd go well with the Black 900FX just reviewed in horizontal orientation. Well done to the MSI persons responsible for the aesthetics on this one and those who sorted out the I/O so well! I'm not going to hold MSI responsible for Intel's sins; good luck to MSI with this board.

Cuz F amd, that’s why. Dog water trash. Besides eypc or threadripper they’re pointless. Buy Intel or just buy a gaming console cuz that’s all amd consumer CPU’s are good for, gaming only. Their GPU’s are straight garbage too compared to NVIDIA. Enjoy ur constant microstuttering, driver issue, windows breaking, slow ram crashing nonsense. Foh

I would very much like a new board and cpu, I'm still on nehalem i7 870 . I would sort myself the ram. I would love something like x299 or x99, or wtv really. Help?

Damn you'r still in LGA 1156, i had one of those, i5 760. From 2010 to 2017 when i change to the first gen Ryzen with the 1700 and X370. You could yes, get a X299 used but they are still expensive, and the i9 10980XE, but is a bit rare and expensive as well.

There was Ace for both X670E, Z690 and Z790. There is no reason for the Ace not to exist for X870E, and it will be missed.
