Sheila Hancock, you are an inspirational woman. Hats off to you. I am currently climbing big mountains aged 53 and I intend to carry on and on. We have such strength and fitness available to us and we can keep that, plus our inner spirit, alive. Thank you for showing this to be true.

I LOVE this Movie!! For the Majesty, the Comedy, the drama, the truth and compassion. Sheila...You are my inspiration through life always. I may only be 56, I hope to do what you did in this movie when I'm your age. Thank You for your service, teaching us that age is just a number and that we can achieve anything we put our minds to. Many Blessings.

I watched the film last night and loved it. Of course I wondered if she had actually climbed the mountain. Tonight I read a review that directed me here so I've got my answer . Good on you sheila Hancock.. my 60 th birthday is in 2 weeks.....I had two heart attacks in 2019 and I have MS too . I've run the nyc marathon to raise money for a charity. . .maybe I could hike up a mountain..... ?

As a walker myself, (with limited mountain climbing experience) I found watching this film so inspiring. It was something different, unique with a brilliant story line to portray not just the television entertainment side, but a spectacular acheivement behind the acting of Sheila Hancock. Well done.

I did not doubt for one second that Sheila could climb the mountain "in real life." I used to see her travelling through the railway station I worked at when she was seventy-something and she had a genuine presence, kindness and determination that I think a lot of older people forget they have... ❤

Whilst sadly the film itself was at very best average to poor (a generous 6.6 on IMDB), I congratulate Sheila on a remarkable feat. And although video can never do justice to the magnificence of Assynt, one thing that the movie did achieve was to give a small insight into the unique scenery of that part of Scotland. And to climb Suilven people should understand that it's not next to a car park where you get your boots on and climb....Oh no it's miles from the road protected by swamps and boggy land, so it's tough even getting to the beginning of the climb. I did Stac Pollaidh which is nearby, but much easier as it's accessible from the road and a car park!!

Watched the movie for the first time last night. Interesting that they climbed from the south side - I can attest that it's a very long walk in, with a short, steep final ascent. As Sheila says, the effort is mainly at the start and the views are stunning.

I've done this mountain four times in my life. It's my most favourite mountain in the world. It really is part of a vast very ancient landscape. I tip my hat to Shiela because although not as high as some in Scotland, it's really hard work getting up onto that Sugarloaf peak.
