Very nice points on this trip brother. It's fun watching you guy's of this community find these big ones. Every thing I have is tiny compared to you guy's. Thanks for sharing. Gotta say I do miss the family. Hope they are with ya on the next one. Many blessings

We do get lucky and find a good sized one from time to time. A lot of small-mid sized points. I’m sure we’ll get the kids out this year for a few hunts. Schedules just get harder and harder with High school. Appreciate you watching and commenting!

Thanks buddy! It was a great day to be back out after the Winter. Finding some quality points to bring home is always a huge bonus!
I thought you had a huge dove on that first one until you reached in and picked it up. Great color on that one. Glad you got your time to get out and think, and also had some success while you were at it.

Thanks buddy! It was a welcome site laying there in the bottom of that sandy furrow. Two toned colored and shining in the sun. I thought Dove too at first. Thinking more Woodland. Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.

My Dads birthday was April 16th. He passed away in August 2014. So itll be 10 years for me as well. He was born in 57 and passed at 57. I always go hunt on his birthday.

That’s great that you take the time to go on his Birthday. Definitely gives you time to think. Crazy how fast 10 years flies by. I hope you found something that day.

Thank you buddy! I was very excited to find the Meadowood. They are find more regularly East of us, but definitely in our area. I’ve always liked the type with its notches right close to the base. Best of luck to you!

You did have a great day with many relics and the one or two very nice points. Do you think the black point could be Coshecton or Zaleski black flint from Ohio? You have a very nice way of honoring your father! Good luck this year! I thought Meadowood as soon as you picked it up, but thought it might be called something else where you are.
@artifactaddiction5 ай бұрын
Thank you sir! It was a very good day. Weather was great and the artifacts were there. No better way to spend some time. I believe it’s Zaleski flint and a very interesting little point. Yes you are correct, they are typed Meadowood here as well.

Awesome finds! I am in SW Michigan and have only ever found one arrowhead. Between me, my brother, dad, and grandpa, we have found 6 arrowheads and a scraper around my parents property. Do you have any suggestions on good areas in SW MI to look? I have been looking in a field that runs along a creek for about a mile with a swamp as well with no luck so far.
@artifactaddiction4 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching and commenting! Michigan finds are awesome anytime you come across one. They definitely seem to be fewer than other adjoining states however. My only advice for Michigan finds would be to keep looking in the areas you know have a possibility. (Fields along water). They don’t all have stuff, therefore you need to check as many as possible. The finds might be few, but it’s there to find with perseverance. Best of luck!

@@artifactaddiction I kind of figured Michigan might be a little tougher to find artifacts. I have found a Hafted Scraper and a nice little point in the last couple weeks though! Just got permission on a field that is about 150-200 yards from a large lake and found the point within the first hour. Lots of flakes too so there is a good chance I find more! (Fingers Crossed) Good luck to you as well!
@artifactaddiction3 ай бұрын
Awesome! One point is definitely better than none! I’ve found two nice Michigan points and a few tools over the last few weeks as well. Checking out a new property tonight that butts up to a large swampy lake. We’ll see if anything pops up. Best of luck to you on the new property! If there’s a bunch of flake, there’s definitely points….👍

Looks like a Dove to me! And a Meadowood!! And that little black beauty looks like Zaleski flint to me. Too black for Coshocton!?
@artifactaddiction2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting! Definitely a Meadowood on the bigger point. I’d love to think that first one is a Dove, but it has zero basal grinding. Definitely a head scratcher.
