You guys have a great eye for spotting relics. That's the key. One of my older brothers is like that, as was my dad. They could spot things that 99% of people would walk right past. It's a talent.

We have nothing like the wonderful finds you show us here in the UK but thanks to you and others who take the time to film and put on KZbin we are able to learn about how the ancient people used what they could find. I am in awe of their skills and I love watching you find the artifacts. Thank you so much, I have always loved history and mostly what items were used and what they were made of. Take care, good luck 🍀 and happy hunting Mary-Ellen UK

Yeah no doubt that the soft creek bottom helps out a lot. That's one of the things I love about your vids, you guys pull out some real dime pieces! Can you explain how you are able to determine the period these are made? Do you have a Facebook or an email where I can send you a picture of something I found? @Theditchwalker8 жыл бұрын
+Fred Ferguson Appreciate it Fred....Yes.,you should walk all the streams you can....I prefer streams that run out of higher ground into bottom land...there will usually be artifacts coming out somewhere within the elevation change...Keep in mind there does not have to be a visual site against the creek for it to produce artifacts....Many early to middle archaic sites are flat or have been silted in and are not visible......You never know where or when artifacts will enter the stream....Thanks for your comment and the best of luck to you

@Theditchwalker8 жыл бұрын
+Socialist Hater That's rite..People don't realize that this can be done. Creeks erode into these ancient campsites depositing the artifacts into the stream bed.Keep in mind that the artifacts stay where they are for thousands of years until they're eroded out...or they may be locked up in creek deposits for long periods of time..I get lots of comments about no or minimal damage.,people don't realize that the creeks here are clay and sand and are very gentle on the artifacts...Thanks for your comment
