Little point at the end is a Pinellas… 700-400 BP. It’s a bird point. Very good day!! Congrats

I think your videos are so informative, I don’t understand why people want to ruin a good thing for someone else. I believe like you, we didn’t live then,how would we know. I enjoy watching your enjoyment of finding the arrowhead. Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday, and congratulations. I live in Florida, and have never found a point here. All my finds are from the Ohio River valley. Florida has some of the most coveted arrowheads, because we have chalcedony and agatized coral here. If you can find a G10 Clovis made of agatized coral, you can name your price . I hear the Old man tell a story about a fella that found a coral Clovis, and his buddy traded him his Ford 4X4 king ranch for it. Said he walked home staring at his new Clovis in hand, grinning from ear-to-ear. 😂 I can't be positive, but I believe your point is made of heat treated bay bottom chert. When I get off work I can go through my books and try to figure out what exact point type it is, if you haven't already figured it out. Cool find.

I think I remember hearing someone say it was a Marion but I'm not 100% positive. I'll keep looking for that Clovis! That's on the bucket list, I guess I'll add one made of agatized coral now that we're dreaming. Thanks man!

@@blackriverfossils Yes, Marion, or possibly a Putnam. I believe Marion and Putnam are just subtypes of the same point. The name "Marion" is more commonly used.
@moemuggy49717 ай бұрын
@@blackriverfossils oh, and it's not bay bottom chert. It's coastal chert or Brookville chert.

@@moemuggy4971 that's cool you can distinguish the type of chert!

Happy birthday!! Did you figure out what type that pink point was? Looks like a morrow mountain but im no pro. Either way congratulations man what beauty
@blackriverfossils7 ай бұрын
thank you! I think I remember them saying its a Marion. I'm not a pro either - I'm barely an amateur at arrowheads but its a fascinating hobby that is just as addicting as hunting shark teeth!

@blackriverfossils ok just looked that up seems correct. And yes sir I found my first arrowhead on my first ever fossil hunt and was hooked to both.. also found a giant thresher just before the point haha

thank you! it was at the beginning of March. the little pinella point was a complete surprise. those are so small they slip through the holes in the table so I was lucky to find one walking around.
