our passing game creativity is so bland since EB left for Nagy. Its so predictable. 18-22 offense was lethal. Hopefully we make some solid moves, but like you said, it seems they just keep bringing on undrafted players and old washed up ones. As bad as our offense was last year and now losing Hollywood, I would think we would try to get another reliable receiver.

I know I’m in the minority.. and I agree Lou is a great DC.. however if we didn’t then the ball over against the ravens or bengals.. we could have easily scored in the 30s if not more.. of course that didn’t happen so yeah we have to clean up the turnovers.. but

I might be in the minority here…but this defense misses Willie Gay and his splash plays he made. His energy was unmatched and he was only getting better in this defense…not sure why the Chiefs just let him walk, especially after seeing what the Saints signed him for, but they sure could use his speed right now. That was a baffling move by Veach and company.

The fact that he wasn't getting better in this defense is why we let him walk. His athleticism was elite but his ability to process in this defense was not...

His issue was that he would over pursue plays, which he improved in that area, but when he was on the field, he actually made plays and a lot them were game changing plays. He may not have been consistent but he definitely made enough splash plays for them to re-sign him to a one year deal. Despite what you think our LB core and defense was better with him, than without him

All I know is, speaking of Bengals, Im tired of this “big lou” narrative that he’s somehow the guy that can handle kc’s offense. I wouldn’t call 2 tds and 4 field goals, 26 pts (after 3 turnovers) a great defensive game. Outside of turnovers, lou’s crew only stopped them from scoring twice the whole game He’s fortunate to have Hendrickson on the edge, and getting turnovers is not really a strategy you can rely on. Turnovers are nice, but if im a bengals fan, I would feel better if they were able to force more punts. Its like denver last year. Couldn’t stop shit except when they forced turnovers Mahomes averages over 25points against “Big Lou” which is their 2 year average on points/game. We are all giving Lou and Burrow waaaay too much credit

Against Lou Anarumo: 359yards/gm 24.3pts/gm vs Chiefs overall last two seasons 382yrds/game 25.45pts/game Lou’s d is barely under the 2-season avg. BARELY. And that’s like after 8 turnovers, a couple missed kicks, etc. That’s respectable. Im not saying the guy is trash, but I think we can stop glazing him.
