Tiny & Tibbin II - where's Tibbin's developmental milestones ?

Reddy and Dopey made it through some lean times with your help. It's true Tibbin is kind of lethargic, like failure to thrive. Tiny made it, scrabbling around on the ground for tidbits, let's hope the beautiful Tibbin makes it. When you see other babies frolicking and playing it's obvious how stunted his progress is. I'm rooting or him! He has Tina looking out for him, that's half the battle, now she needs more nourishment. Thank you Mr. M. for caring for them. ;)

Yes Arroz your weekly treats make a difference. Her belly is a little fuller. Some hopefully turns to milk, they will stay a little bit warmer. They know somebody cares. They see you, who is their constant friend.

Heh Arroz, it must be a real challenge to give out goodies to the mom's who really need it like Tina...I don't know how you do it but it's great to see her eat. She really needs these added nutrients for Tibbin and so do all the lower ranking moms..thanks for doing it.

They look so much larger on the screen since they are filmed closely. When you see Tiny with that cigarette butt in his mouth, it just shows how tiny he/they really are. Lol. Poor Tibbin. I thought he first looked a little bit bigger than before but it's so hard to tell when you aren't there especially when he's held so closely to mum the whole time. I really hope he's going to be ok. Tina does love her boys very much.. She's just so hyper and seems like she has trouble staying still for lengths of time. I'm guessing that has to do with her ranking and always being on edge? Let's all pray Tibbin will gain some weight/strength and it's him just getting a late start ♥️🙏🏻

*ShannonIsSweet* I think Tina has thyroid or adrenal problems...hormonal imbalances can cause anxiety too. It really appears she’s taught Tibbin not to suckle...😕

It's hard to imagine but the adult females are only slightly bigger than the average American housecat, so Tiny'd be about the size of a few month old kitten!

Kathy Bradbury Lets pray he gets stronger. I use to think she wasn't letting him suckle enough because in past videos she kept pulling him off her teat but maybe she knows she doesn't have enough milk or on the other hand maybe her instincts tell her at his age (even at only just over a month old) that he shouldn't be on the teat all day without a break like the other babies his age do, not realizing that something may be wrong with him if that makes any sense 🤔 In this video she seemed to not pull away as much. I wish we really knew the exact truth as to what's actually going on with him. All we can do is pray everything will be ok... Just adore them...

I always think these monkeys are much bigger than they are. I noticed it on the other monkey channels when sweet pea looked like a giant blimp and then then one creator has his girlfriend or wife (whom I cannot stand) Konthea or whatever holding him all of the time and he looks like a mini blimp! They are really small and we just don’t realize it until we see them near an object or human for reference.

This is the mother we've seen a few times now that is supposed to be fixed yet has a little one. Interesting.... I also think this is the first time I've actually seen Tibbin suckle and not just using it for a pacifier. Hopefully things will look up for the little guy soon!!

She won’t let him go long enough to build muscles, learn to walk well, eat greens on his own, she’s constantly holding and obsessing on grooming Not building up strength, teaching him to walk, climb, eat from Mother Earth he’s your meal ticket she set all of her babies back, tiny and teeny fought tooth And nail to survive her. She shewed away potential friends anything else in their world but her she ran it off but they prevailed! I’m scared for the baby coming prayers needed!!!!!

She won’t let go of him and won’t allow him to feed - just hold the nipple in his mouth- because she wants to get rid of him. Too much work and effort to raise him. She is as lazy as the day is long.

At least with Tibbon Tina seems to have milk to let him burse so he has not had to forage to survive as his brother did. I guess for Tiny's sake having mum go dry or wean too early was a positive thing in the long run as he had to be active to forage and feed himself. She may not be making much milk but at least she is making some - with Tiny she was always on empty. Tiny was small but active and ahead on most milestones. Tibbon seems quite behind and one wonders if mom is babying him so much since she did not or could not with Tiny or now that she has figured out what maybe a mother should do she is over protecting him and not giving him a chance to do what others his age would do -or is there really actually something wrong with him. Its not unheard of for a monkey to fail miserably with raising their first and then eventually lose them in some way and then when they have their next overcompensate to the point that the baby has more problems then the first one had because she did not know what to do. Now she seems to have found out how she should cuddle and nurse a baby constantly instead of pushing him away very early and seems to have no intention to have Tibbon grow up. While Tiny was foraging to survive and doing it well at this age - this baby hardly seems to be allowed to walk. Tibbon actually looks physically under-developed and that was very noticeable when she turned him over to groom his abdomen, again I have to wonder if the rough start for both her kids were do to premature births and Tiny was lucky enough that even with delayed growth tio pick up on the ability to survive while Tibbon seems quite helpless and not hitting any development milestones yet which could mean he was born even earlier then Tiny. Premature births and usually stillbirths or death shortly after birth happen very often to the lower ranking and bottom ranking moms that are near starvation because of their lack of getting any food. The body of pretty smart and will cause cause a early labor or a stillbirth if the mothers body just is not getting the food it needs to carry a child. When she had him on his back you could see that his feet did not have the normal creases on them you see from a full term infant, and he had no fatty layer over the muscles which are also under developed and his genitals are not those of a full term baby. He also looks pretty anemic. Any food is better than non, of course, but in the condition she is in, especially not having skipped a year and had a chance to recover from Tiny before producing another baby, as well as basically on starvation rations by the troop unless there was a way to stealth feed her on a daily basis it probably won't change much but at least it gives her a full stomach for one night. It should make some difference to the milk production at least for a day as the mother's body will put milk production ahead of anything the mothers body needs, including breaking down he own fat stores, if any, and sometimes muscle to produce milk for the young she is nursing and that is why its a shame that she had babies back to back as she has. Monkey usually learn things, especially when food is the subject, very quickly and Tina should figure out that you don't produce treats if others are around and start to follow you away from the troop when you come around.

I wonder if Tibby is going to be the same as Tiny... The fact that Tina is a low rank, which means that she do not get a whole lot of food as to what Arroz gives to her whenever he can. I am pretty sure that Tibby sleeps a lot is because he does not have too much energy to run around and Tina restrict him from doing that while nursing him and making sure that he get what he needs to grow as much as possible. In any case, I hope Tibby will be like his brother and get stronger as he get olders.

I can't watch these old ones knowing Tibbin didn't make it..Tina has lost so many babies because of her low ranking she doesn't get enough nutrition and they are all born super small then the lack if food makes her milk be poor quality and it drys up very early. Its so sad this happens nearly every yr..Teeny only made it by being a little fighter and the one to one support of the regular feeders who made sure Tina had plenty of food so she wouldn't bother stealing Teenys food..
