Arryk vs Erryk: TWIN FIGHT! (Part 1 of 2) (House of The Dragon s02ep02 Full Recap)

What is up thy Bros? We are back in Westeros for episode 2 of House of The Dragon. This seems to center around the family aspect as well as the passing of the guard... We see the aftermath of the death of Jahearys and things are falling apart. Alicent and Helena take part in a funeral procession through Kings Landing to garner support for Aegon. Meanwhile, Rhaenyra and Daemon get into it after she learns of his part in the slaying of Jahearys resulting in Daemons departure from Dragonstone. Criston Cole and Alicent both struggle with guilt for boinking while Jahearys was being slain. To rectify this Criston... without asking the king, or the hand, or the council, or literally ANYONE of importance... sends Arryk to impersonate his twin brother Erryk at Dragonstone in order to assassinate Rhaenyra. Blood was caught because the guards made the hounds smell Jaehaerys’ bloody blanket to pick up his scent. They tracked the scent to Blood, who was carrying his head in a bag while trying to escape the city.

Aemond won't be killed by anyone from Dorne. I think the significance of the coin is that Criston is from Dorne, and he is indirectly responsible for the death of Aegon's son.

I am so glad y’all are covering this “quality “ tv show. I am DONE with Bravo!!!! I don’t like the Real( whatever) Housewives and VR. Anyway, I LOVED GOT!!!!! And, am really enjoying HOD. Unnecessary spoiler at 13:20, which made me turn off the video immediately:/ Liked your VPR coverage and was excited about this new format as a GOT fan! But as someone who haven't read the books and consumes a lot of content surrounding HOTD, you must be very mindful of your audience and decide how much of the book lore you want to include and find ways to discuss it without giving anything away.

@@bravbrospodcast thanks for the reply! You talk about the death of a character who is still alive in the show and I was confused as to why it was necessary. Both the events of Blood and Cheese and Rook's Rest were in the books as far as I know, with some deviation.
