I'm curious about how Weiss will react to going back to Atlas after she just left. She was hoping to find her sister in Mistral and was disappointed that she wasn't there, but is her desire to see her sister again enough to make her risk seeing her family.

Yeah I feel the same way too. I think there will be a couple of episodes when they're still in Haven before heading back to Atlas. They can't leave Haven without a headmaster even if the relic was already taken.

They CAN leave Haven without a headmaster, for a short time. All the other teachers are dead. For all intents and purposes, the school is defunct. It could remain empty for a time, especially since the relic is out of the vault. It's just a place now. The Mistral Police can guard the (at the moment useless) communication tower. The danger is passed for Haven, now it is time to save the rest of the world, which is more important than guarding an empty school. They can all go, finish the job quickly and then figure out who will be in what position. There are two schools left for the students from around the world to go to if the job takes too long to complete.

I know what you mean. But Ironwood has closed the borders to Atlas. And I bet even if Ozpin shows himself to him, telling him they must go to his school. He's not going to let them. Ironwood is a good man but his top priority has always been the safety of the people of Atlas. He's not going to risk letting him, Qrow or the other students enter. But I see that as a mistake. Salem will eventually find a way to attack and get the relic. He will need all of the help he can get and the Atlas military, Winter or probably another Penny won't be enough.

Volume 6 is gonna be interesting. The sub-plot is definitely gonna be about Weiss confronting her family, her brother and father especially, with Winter and their mother supporting her. Can't wait to see Ironwood reacting to Ozpin's return and we're likely gonna see a lot more of Watts as well. Curious to see if they touch upon Cinder, Emerald, and Tyrion. And how will Ilia fit in with team RWBY? Or will they add her to team JNPR?

With Arryn listing all of Blake's admirers, all I can say is thank God she hasn't read the [strictly non canon] fanfic "Octane", or has she? I hope for her sake, that she hasn't. Spoiler alert! It's a Ladybug/Fallen Petals love triangle, the author of the fanfic added that Cinder used to be BFFs with Blake and Yang. So if you're looking for drama, y'know something to mentally and emotionally torture yourself over, as I do ever constantly, then I'd highly recommend it.

If we learn nothing new about Ruby I'm gonna have to drop the show. That the show puts Ruby in the background for volumes despite her blatantly being one of, if not *the* protagonist feels like a huge middle finger. I didn't come to the show to watch WBY ft. Jaune. That earlier seasons at least had awesome high-paced fight scenes was bearable but now it's just pure masochism, and not even an enjoyable kind.

Not Above Others, I agree with you to a point. So many missed opportunities for Ruby to learn about the Silver Eyes trait, how to use it, all that. Maybe some more history of Summer and what she had been able to do with the power. Some practice with that power, of course, so it isn't just triggered by great need alone. Oz is RIGHT THERE and if ANYBODY knows about the Silver Eyes, it would be him. If they were living in the same house for WEEKS and training together that entire time, that conversation SHOULD have been had. MAYBE they will do flashbacks to it later on. Then of course, whatever other growing up she did in the mean time (obviously cooking classes didn't take place so what WAS she doing? Training the ENTIRE time? I doubt that. Maybe reading?) But I won't drop the show over that. I want to see where this goes.
