We should temper our enthusiasm. Yes, Isak is an ice-cold magician with a supporting cast that performed very well and defended absolutely. But....I have spent hours all over the web-i-verse, and so many are saying "There is no way they will beat us by 3 at SJP! Look, West Ham beat us 0-2 at SJP not too long ago. If Arteta's ass-children are leading by two at the whistle it goes to penalties. That is possible, so let's not be counting chickens. Also, if I infer correctly from the presser with Burn and Howe, we got some good bounces (decent luck) and with the fatigue and a few bad legs, Toon had little choice but to avoid a wide-open game and bunker in. Yes, it worked, and much of that was due to Arsenal missing chances. Great job done, lads.....but....Let's sober up just a bit.

Why are you downplaying us? Arsenal full of "World Class" players? Created lots of chances? Look at the stats....Arsenal 23 shots, 3 on target. NU, 7 shots, 4 on target. If it was on on target, it would have still been 4-3 to Newcastle. Arsenal cheat to win set pieces, but we defended everything with guile and ferocity. We kept our defensive line on free kicks, until the ball was kicked, to try to play them off-side. We threw our bodies in front of everything. We fought for everything for 60 minutes, then we defended like lions on speed. Imagine if the Arsenal team was comprised of Newcastle players, wouldn't you be purring about Arsenal being full of World Class players? I didn't see one Arsenal player who I'd want instead of our starting line up. (They can have Harvey Barnes, because he tracks and closes down like he's running in treacle).

Very true, but listen, I’ve just turned 60, I was 3 years old last time my team won a trophy, that’s why we’re so excited, it ain’t arrogance, if you’re a Newcastle fan all you’re used too is disappointment, finally we’ve got some hope; I mean, I know it’s been a few lean years for arsenal, but at least you’ve won actually titles this century 😂. With the two away goals I can’t see us flogging it now but you never know, we just need to give a professional performance next month, no silly mistakes, arsenal will need to take chances to get into the game which will leave them vulnerable on the counter and that’ll suit us; anyway, we’ll see…
