That was the most textbook penalty for handball you'll ever see... How could anyone possibly argue otherwise?? Ball comes in from a distance, hand is out/'unnatural position', hand moves towards the ball. His arm is even tensed to stop the flight rather than a lax limb being blown through. Whether or not anyone 'would've got to it' or it _truly_ affected play is absolutely irrelevant - you don't handle the ball in football.

​@adventurerwannabe I did! And unlike a bunch of the overly dramatic freak outs from some sections of the fan base, I'm happy with the win. Plenty of folks saying "get the job done, doesn't matter the score, get back to winning ways and keep a clean sheet and stay healthy for Saturday". For the most part (Riccardo aside) we did that. We won a game in the CL 1-0 without two of our most creative and threatening players. We weren't winning these games a few years ago even with our most threatening players in the EL. I'm not saying the team played it's best, or it was the most attractive showing, not saying either of those things. I am saying it feels good to win CL games, and that is reinforced when the context of the season is being taken into consideration. Clean sheet, no massive errors, got the win, on to Saturday. The fact that Andrew can ask every CL podcast "what do these even mean in the New format?" Is great! Because we are asking that from a position of wins, rather than finding out what its like from a position of losses. Arsenal wins, I'm happy. Maybe I'm too much of a simple man.

Without Saka and Martin we are struggling with creativity and Trossard looks like he doesn't want to play for the Arsenal anymore as his body language is all wrong and Merino and Sterling and Jesus are no better than Ethan thank god Emery gave Saka and Martinelli a break because Arteta does not recognise youth potential we got rid of Vierra and replaced him with Trossard who is not a 10 dont know what he is and what is going on with Zinchenko who could play in a 10 position the next 3 games in the league are so important.

We need to discuss Declan Rice. He has been very poor. I am sorry but we spent 105mil for him as a midfielder. Arsenal is known for world class midfielders. He is nowhere near what we expected. The difference was clear to see the moment we moved partey out of midfield. It fell and we lost control until Jorginho came on at 87mins. What does Declan actually do?

@@elchapitaneh if I were to be completely honest. He wasn't excellent last season. He was good in some games much earlier in the season but faded in the latter part of the season. Either way my concern remains. What is he doing this season? There seems, based on the lack of discussion, that there are no expectations from our 105mil midfield general. He seems very limited.
