Mad respect for Pep. He spoke the truth though. As an Arsenal fan, I do feel like a winner myself. We came back from where we were previous seasons. We need a lot of work, that is a fact. We need a lot more depth in the team. We had a great season, we didn't bottle anything. At least our manager didn't promise to win the premier league. Arteta said top 4 finish. He achieved just that. We got second. We need buy more players though and add more power to our squad. As it stands City have so many players and we don't have enough to rotate out our main squad.

Spurs fan. Arsenal have done exceptionally. The jump in standard and consistency, especially in such a young squad, makes them a scary prospect in my eyes for the coming half decade. They're this good as kids (basically), just think when they hit 28/29/30 years old, they'll be physically and mentally developed with actual experience to fall upon. Arsenal's draw for big players was probably a bit behind some other clubs, but now they must be one of the most exciting clubs players would look to join, especially because there are starting spots up for grabs. Also the football has been so dynamic and exciting, much more so than my own club, we don't even have a CAM anymore. Once the squad thickens out with more talent, some more experience, imo they are the club most likely to break City's dominance. I was pretty excited about Tottenham's prospects this season due to experienced signings and great momentum from Conte, but I can't say i'm that surprised at what happened in reality. Conte stretched a badly composed and lacking squad beyond what they were capable, and that presented a rift in which our manager inevitably takes the blame, when in fact it's obvious that the root of the problem lies in the core composition of our club. No winning mentality, feeling cups like the conference league are beneath us and yet we can't even come close to winning. Shameful that we waste great players like Son, Kane etc and expect them to accept losing as a part of life. We need a complete rebuild, and that's what Arsenal have achieved. Very f*cking jealous. We couldn't rotate out players. Look at one example, the best midfielder this season Debruyne, didn't play every game. Meanwhile we had Odegaard play the entire season! That's just one example. But I agree with you, the team was super exciting to see this season. As an Arsenal fan I will speak the truth, we are so toxic toward our own team. Which is not acceptable.

Actually, when asked, both Arteta and Edu BOTH SAID THE GOAL OF THE SEASON WAS TO WIN THE LEAGUE FFS look it up. I just checked the 'Minutes Played' stat in the PL. There is no Man City player (except Ederson) in top 50. Comparing Arsenal and City, There are 7 players in the Arsenal team with 2800+ minutes while there is only Ederson and Rodri for Man City with 2800+ minutes. Man City relies on squad quality more than depth by having more versatile players.
