It's true that it meant Arsenal could award themselves the St Totteringham's Day trophy but it's not a real trophy no matter how extensive their website is (a website started in 2004 at Arsenal's peak because we live in their heads rent free). This season Arsenal bottled it and missed out big time. All the excuses they have (e.g. young team, newish manager, injuries, bad luck, bad referee decisions) could apply to Tottenham in 2016.

though a Spurs fan since '72, i hold absolutely nothing against The Gunners. first watched televised football and happened to be the '71 FA Cup Final Gunners 2 - 1 The Kop. saw Steve Heighway scored from an unbelievable distance and also the winner from Charlie George (can't remember who scored the 1st goal). was a great game. but those were the days. come in real time 50 years on, to be fair, your Gunners did brilliant to get where you are, though not quite making to the UCL, never be disheartened yeah can always try again. never meant to rub salt on your wound though however you guys should hold ya heads high. both NLD Clubs had somewhat improved respective position from the previous season. you have a young gaffer and young squad and are talented. should do good come new season. good luck then 🙂
