It’s a tough one for me. Özil for his flaws, was generational, he really defined the modern number 10 role. Ødegaard offers a lot more to us than what Özil did overall, he offers help in the press, he’s very direct and front footed too, and he’s clinical when presented with chances. However, Özil’s weight of pass and vision was unmatched, we only really saw Özil’s assist and chance numbers start to become matched and surpassed, once KDB was truly in his groove.

Let me rephrase, Ødegaard doesn’t help in the press, he leads our press which kickstarts our attacks and when we try to suffocate teams. Sporting and Forest are two prime examples of his influence.

Gyokeres may have been monstered by Saliba and Gabriel but you can see that against slightly less able defenders, Gyokeres would bully, out muscle and smash in a lot of goals!! He is a 💯% Goal Hound, we have nobody like him and definitely need a pure out and out striker like him in our team

Ben white completes the triangle of ordegaard and Saka....Timber gives the triangle more creativity and yet defensive steel and awareness...both of them so good yet different

I personally like Ben White coming off the bench for amazing depth purposes. Calafiori can back up Left Back and Left Center Back off the bench. White can back up Right Back and Right Center Back off the bench. To me, that's a very strong starting defense and great coverage behind them. Only if we can get that type of quality depth for our mid field and forwards, we will be unstoppable.

Our improved performance in last 2 games was due in part to Odegaard's return without doubt, BUT it was also greatly contributed to by the better team balance created by return of Calafiori to LB and Timber switching back to his natural RB position

Ozil was a pleasure to watch when Arsenal were dominant. Offensively he was brilliant, magical. Odegaard is both offensively and defensively brilliant and magical, he’s relentless. I’d definitely pick Odegaard.

Hi Charles, ive seen a lot of people linking us with moves for wingers next summer, from Williams to Laeo (butchered the spelling). I cant help but feel like the perfect winger for us would be Xavi Simmons of PSG? Hes young, very experienced at Champions league level and would offer cover for both wings and the 10 position. Hes been loaned out 2 years in a row from PSG and has shown that he is willing to move on from clubs if he isnt getting the gametime. Great age, came up through the barca academy and i dont see him costing an absoloute boatload like some of our other targets. Hes also so fun to watch, id sign him in a heartbeat

Ozil would have been seen differently amongst Arsenal fans had the team had more than a misfiring Giroud upfront in that 2015/2016 season or if he had a better team in general. His performances in that season and the surrounding seasons were fantastic and deserve to be remembered. He was the main man that season and it was a farce that he wasn’t in the PFA team of the year, but injuries and drops in form to his surrounding players ruined our title chances and subsequently Ozil due to no fault of his own has less of a legacy than his performances in those times rightfully deserved.
