Murphy is a very reliable player. He’s a decent/good level prem player. We still need an upgrade on him and he’ll be a good back up.

Isak wont be going to Arsenal. Hes on a higher trajectory than that. When he does leave Newcastle, its going to be to Real Madrid. I even think they may struggle to come up with the funds it would take to get Newcastle to sell. The Newcastle board have already stated it will take a offer of over 150 million just to get them to the table over isak.

People who don't know much about Newcastle are still talking about them as if they are under Ashley or the early 2000s. And funny enough they're talking about Arsenal as if they were early 2000s. Isak is too good to go from Newcastle to Arsenal. He may as well stay as their trajectory is potentially higher. His next move is to a giant.

Madrid have already sorted that position for the next ten years. As good as Isak is, injuries go against him. And he's not quite the star draw that Madrid generally blow the bank on. He's known, of course, but he isn't quite the star striker they can market the bollocks out of. I think a more realistic shout might be when Bayern move on from Kompany they may end up with a manager that doesn't want a plodding Kane and prefers a striker that can run.

Real have Mbappe and all the other European giants are in the shitter. I think if anything he’ll probably stay because no one has the psr room to spend £150m on a striker

Isak isn't going for 18 months. When he is in his final 18 no ths if you don't think the likes of Bayern, Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, PSG won't all be looking at Isak your mad

I think it is high time we focus on Newcastle, if they buy an elite rw and rcb they can win the league next year. It is not out of the realms of possibility that they can catch back up to Liverpool if they somehow collapse also this year. Arsenal have needed a striker for 2 or 3 years. They bought Havertz and Jesus. The end.
@tomb58507 күн бұрын
I don't think they're far off. Look at the young talent still not peaked yet. A few seasons time (if that) they'll be the ones to watch

This is getting really, really boring this Isak to Arsenal narrative As a Newcastle fan I am very aware Isak at some point needs to leave in order to fulfil his potential...but Arsenal? 🤣🤣 the man is world class wtf do they think they will be the only club in for him? He has 3.5 years left on his deal with no release clause. He won't be leaving anytime soon without a fee close to the world record

Exactly right.

Arsenal are hoping Newcastle drop their asking price for isak when the reality is it likely to go up. If he gets 25 goals in the prem this season and has 3 years left in the summer, hes only 25 so not even in his prime yet. 160/170m in todays market.

@@fugaziishime I would argue that Arsenal are a good situation, they just need someone who puts the ball in the net when given a chance. Newcastle are shit-hot right now and if that continues (with them getting champs league), Isak ain’t going anywhere. I think Gordon would be a more realistic signing for Arsenal than Isak in all honesty
@fugaziishime7 күн бұрын
@@Chip_Chipperson gordon is great, for Newcastle. He is a confidence player his abilities are above average. Why not pay the release clause [60-75 mil] for nico Williams? Gordon would cost the same.

Only checked in here to see the glasses wobble. Spot on comedy timing by Vish there at 22:14 "And then he smacked her over a head with a hammer". 👌 Pretty sure Timmy Mallet does bike tours and painting wherever he cycles to nowadays? Regarding Arsenal buying a striker, they're basically a diluted Man City albeit 3 years down the timeline so they'll be buying a Wish version of Haaland within a year or so.

Ok here is the deal. Isak to Arsenal, Saka plus £100m going the other way. Even then I think that deal favours Arsenal. To put it another way. Fu&£ right off. Isak’s current contract runs to June 2028.

On Tim Steidten at West Ham, the reports were that Lopetegui was a Sullivan hire. That Steidten wanted Amorim initially. Sullivan superceded ultimately and went for Lopetegui as he was a free agent and had premier league experience. I'm not sure anyone aside from Sullivan thought J-Lo would be a good appointment.
