I think Oshimen is just one of those players who isn't worth the risk. We ignored the warning signs with Auba and the problems off the pitch had a huge impact on the squad, and that was half what they want for Oshimen. In my opinion he wouldn't reflect the values of the club and we'd be trying to get him off our books for years. No doubt an exciting player, but we should learn from Ronaldo's second spell at Utd.

USA Gooner here. McKennie is a very good player on his day. He’s a pretty versatile player, when he was at Schalke he was asked to play on the backline. For the U.S he’s a box to box midfielder that’s probably his best position. Creating chances and then getting back defensively and he is also dangerous on set pieces for the national team. However, there is concerns with his fitness. He has seemed to come into Copa America camp out of shape. Which has been a lingering concern throughout his career thus far.

What’s all this about Guehi having a good game against Serbia? He made 4 or 5 blunders, but luckily Rice, being the world class player he is, slotted in and bailed him out every time. I for one don't believe that Arteta has finished evolving his team to be as close to the finished article he's intent on achieving as many fans seem to think he is, and if there's any substance to these rumours of actively seeking to recruit Geihe for a premium of some £60M or so, I'd then be inclined to think that a tweak to our formation must be in the offing. I very much doubt that he would look to purchase what would be our most expensive defender, in order for him to merely act as back up to Saliba and Magalhaes. Moreover, we already have Kiwior and White as able left and right central defender deputies in the horrible event of injury to either of our sentinels, and arguably even better options in Tomiyasu and Timber who are both bipedal. However, if the notion exists that a means to increasing the teams control of the midfield as the alternative to inverting a defensively lax left back, whilst consequently increasing the firepower of our 3 pronged attack, adding the Palace center back to form a rather formidable back 3 partnership of mobile, commanding and technically proficient defenders could prove a rather astute tactic. In relation to the increase in firepower, with his idea to invert Zinchenko and create a box midfield set up to take advantage of our possession based style and morph into a diamond shape to maintain our accustomed 5 lanes of attack now able to be 6, with Havertz as a secondary striker breaking forward from an attacking midfield position just ahead of Odegaard in remembering his viewing the German as a midfielder who scores goals.
