@True Gooner - Come on man, de Jong is going to be an amazing player in a few more years, so there is still quality coming through. Arthur is another one, these are young kids, playing on one of the best teams in the world already. Normally a player like de Jong would have went to Arsenal before ever getting whiff from Barcelona, but after making huge mistakes on Coutinho and Dembele, they've got to make better decisions and buy them before their prices spiral out of control. Klopp's Liverpool isn't successful because of pressing, as a matter of fact they press a lot less then they used to, it's about controlling the game and taking less risks. Look at the numbers, Klopp has changed the way Liverpool play over the past two seasons. They're successful because they have a great defense, a great keeper, and they play smart in possession.

Тот сезон, часто были провалы в опорной зоне, и периодически косячили вратари. В ЛЧ в ответке на Камп Ноу Ван Перси психанул и пульнул мяч на трибуны, судья был суров - удалил его. Долго держались. Забей тогда Бендтнер выход один на один, заменивший сломавшего палец во время матча Фабиански Альмуния сыграл бы свой Золотой матч за Арсенал. Сделал множество невероятных спасений ворот. АА23 вышел на замену, организовал несколько попыток в атаке, но силы были не равны, один шанс был только у Бенди. Потом еще долго обсуждали слова Арсена Венгера, мол не надо помогать топ-клубам уровня Барсы и Реала.

Аршавин был игроком топ уровня, у него было все скорость, дриблинг, удар, пас, игра обеими ногами, чувство ритма игры и он всегда находил оптимальные варианты, да и реализатор он был хороший, очень хладнокровный. Просто в Европу он попал на закате своей карьеры, когда у него оставалось играть на топ уровне 3-4 сезона. Он их отыграл и отыграл очень хорошо

А если по игровым качествам судить, то не надо сравнивать уровень игры в 2008 и 2024, сейчас футбол в плане мастерства, скорости, организованности на 10 шагов впереди. И конкуренция намного выше. Так что Аршавин сам раком стал бы. Посмотри записи игры Льва Яшина. Он в своё время величайшим был, сейчас его с такой игрой даже в молодёжку Динамо не взяли бы. Нельзя сравнивать игроков разных эпох.

It’s a shame Wenger burned Arshavin out. He wasn’t a winger. He was a specialist CAM but Fabregas filled the position. He wasn’t good at tracking back consistently, and eventually lose his pace and his fitness fluctuated. Cult Hero though 🔴⚪️

What about that team was so great? Sure Nasri and Fabregas was good midfielders but at this point they hadn't even matched their potential. Robin van Persie was good in 2 seasons of his 8 seasons at Arsenal. In generel compared to matches played giroud did better than RVP. Seeing the arsenal team that is right now and back at this game the current team is far better. The keeper is better. The defense is also better even though they make more mistakes.. Midfield might be lacking right now. But the attackers are better. Pepe is better than Arshavin and Auba is showing far better results than RVP
