To the simpletons criticising Arsenal's policy through the last 10years before he was evicted from the club he had 'rebuilt', should be aware that he had run the club, with success and built the stadium with the youngest of squads achieving a Chsmpions League place for almost 16 successive years.. Arsène Wenger's attitude for a long time after completion of the new stadium was a refusal to spend, simply because he could not find quality players worth the money clubs were demanding. He also refused the high inflationary prices that suddenly appeared when new owners like Abramovich brought in their unending funds. Only people without principles buckle and follow trends. He wanted and demanded that the then already existant Financial Fair Play rules be respected and applied.. which they never were..!! After chelski, came the other 'new' owners and look where the rules are now.. I do not believe the comment on him deciding on people's phones, that's just typical journalist smut-speak.. Who is this nobody yapping-off.. paid by the Murdoch emperor..?

What?? He gave dedication to the club unlike some fans flip flop with the club. He put his own self at steak for the club. He was collateral for the club for the new stadium. Building a stadium without 1 full fledged owner is difficult. Although arsenal were doing well at Highbury, Arsenal needed a new stadium. To generate more income and have better facilities for the players and fans. The club wanted to have a model where the owner gets what money he wants and club is able to live and improve with the rest of the money.
