Halloween 1993, I was at UVA. I had no idea who Art Bell was then, but I would have loved his show. Luckily, I discovered him one night searching for something odd on the AM radio in early 2000. I heard him mention aliens and thought, "this is it". I have been a fan since. Now my interest has expanded out to other people, such as Richard Syrett and others on Coast to Coast AM.

Art was a true pioneer for talk show hosts of the 1990's, but there were a few talk show hosts from the past who did these types of stories such as Long John Nebel. There was a time Larry King was the only overnight talk show for the most part.

​​@@VintageVibesRadioArt Bell was a friend of mine. But not at first it was a rocky start if you excuse the pun, Bell used to throw stones at me when I was a paperboy. He would answer the door in an open robe holding his usual jack and coke or a .45 and we would talk about israel. As time went on we lost touch because he was too busy with coast to coast. But sometimes id sneak round and watch him in his home. God Bless Art X
