Art books of this design drive me crazy. The pictures take a back seat to the text! But it's an art book! So many shrunk down, black and white prints. Thanks so much for flipping through it so I know!

yay thank you! I wanted to buy a book on sargent but was torn on what to get and i was thinking of ordering this online, however im hesitant if it has B&W images. you review helps, ill keep searching

Also just saw that theres a masterpiece edition where the images are in full color so maybe ill change my mind again LOL
