Art conservation of the unique painting by Mikhail Nesterov "Holy Russia" in the Russian Museum

The painting was chronically ill. The colorful layers peeled off from the ground. In 2019, it was decided to start a complete restoration. This is the story of how three restorers of the Russian Museum were able to prevent further destruction of the unique painting by Mikhail Nesterov. The video also tells about the history of the artist's creation of this work. The film was created by the creative team of the "Virtual Russian Museum" department in 2019.
