I really like the StoryGraph app for documenting books, you can mark them as owned, tag them with your own tags e.g. I have books that I want to read so I check if my library has them and tag accordingly. It’s a great non yucky alternative to good reads and it’s really nice, just in case you didn’t want to use good reads but wanted an app to do it. I love it for tracking how far along I am in a book and it’s really personalizable (I’m not sure that’s a word). Lovely video as always xxx

I've been using Storygraph for the past 2 years to track the books I own and the books I read and then my annual reading goals. It's handy, but not as well-known as goodreads. Books and movies are always typed in a spreadsheet/storygraph/letterboxd to keep track of. I like to go thrifting and sometimes I'll find DVDs or books and then when I get home find another copy. I usually just give these away to coworkers or friends.

I've been procrastinating cataloguing my books for about two years haha Luckily I have a very good memory and am able to remember most of them. By the way, which edition of The Bell Jar did you find? I've been looking for the 2009 Faber Firsts edition of The Bell Jar for years. I think it's beautiful! But I haven't managed to find it anywhere :'(

Would you consider putting add reads at the ends of your videos? Laura Kampf has a similar editing style but I find her videos are more relaxing because I’m not thrown off by a sneak attack ad-read when I’m expecting normal chatting. Also she always starts the advertisement with “The sponsor of this video is…” which feels more polite to the audience. Love your content overall. I’m always excited to watch when you post

Fran, as a long time wobbly mental health peep may I just say that from my experience, depression is often “just” a result of isolation. In my humble opinion, If we don’t have people in our lives to share it with, it’s pretty grim. Also our exposure to the amount of data we are on the receiving end of is just nuts- not doable. Unsolicited advice: get more people in your life and do stuff together. As much as us creatives like our own company and can spend days *ahem months, in our own bubble of art and thoughts and pets and plants, we need people.
