Thank you LLB, you were my childhood hero in the 90s and early 2000s, and started my love for interior design and architecture. Coming across these videos has made my day.

Most frequently, Moderne is what people think that Art Deco is. It is not. "No fountains, no gazelles."

Omg I love you ! I’m an art teacher who is currently trying to purchase a dilapidated but amazingly original 1936 home with Hollywood regency style interior - complete with original foyer wallpaper - that’s how I came across your video! When I get that home I’ll be using your videos to guide redo! How to update while remain original that will be the question !

Omg very good. I hadn't thought that much about the 29 crash and the change in style. Not about 'democratisation' though. I mean, after the crash. Seemed more like a switch of enthusiasm for machinery 'to get us out of this'.
