Electric Callboy has kind of hung their shingle on being silly and fun while still being incredibly skilled musicians. What I love about this collab is that it brought out a little of the less recently seen side of Babymetal. The whole little scene in the "karaoke bar" is more fun than we've seen them have in a music video in a long time and it's great.

EC says they hung 60 disco balls from the ceiling for the scene with the band playing. Various sizes. Great video. EC is like edm metal, with a lot of humor added, so this video was exactly what we expected and surprised us in everyway both at the same time. We knew it would be off the rails, just not how. And I've never seen the girls so cutesy - that's new. Although Momoko did add her voice to the growling vocals.

You nailed it when you alluded to Electric Callboy not taking themselves too seriously yet being serious musicians and making great music. They bring the fun into metal opening it up to a much wider audience. Check out Hypa Hypa, We Got the Moves, Pump It, Tekkno Train, Every Time We Touch, the list goes on. I'm new to BabyMetal but I can see how Electric Callboy was able to bring out the silly, fun side of BabyMetal in this collab. Such a catchy fun tune. One reactor said "We all should embrace the stupid". I work in the event industry and I know companies who rent out discoballs this size (2m diameter) It has all the rigging stuff to hang it from a truss, motor or a deadhang. Biggest problem is the ginormous flightcase it comes in. You have to check the measurements of your doors before you rent one 😂

Yeah the fun side of Babymetal is awesome. In their latest album they didn't go much into it but it's a big part of their catalogue. Other songs kinda like this are iine, uki uki midnight, da da dance, and Timewave. Also kinda hear a bit of their song night night burn in this as well. Electric Callboys style brings it out of them well. They are very much alike in mixing genres and bringing the fun to metal so this collab seemed to be destined.

Fun fact: EC said in a reactor comment they did the breaking the walls scene in one shot, there will be a bts so we're waiting for more. The scene could be an homage to Aerosmith x Run DMC - Walk This Way MV symbolizing they're breaking the boundaries with the music genres. This was filmed in Germany and the crew had to put all those disco ball on the celling manually just for this song. Last weekend they played this song at FOX_FEST Festival in Japan along with Electric Callboy, everyone went bonkers with this awesome collab, pretty sure it's gonna be the hit of this 2024 summer. Hopefully they will play this at Download Festival too or any other festival. Polyphia were also there playing a set and the guitarists Tim Henson and Scott Le Page played together with BM Brand New Day, they're special guest in the album version, they were looking for this since a very long time ago and also fans waited for this. Next suggestion to meet another super collab they did recently: - F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV. Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 (Japan time) . Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍

The video was shot by the Schillo bros which is own by Pascal Schillo , the guitarist, and his brother who is not in the band. They will publish an "Behind the scene" Video on the EC channel. Maybe they will explain how they mad that giant disco ball, which still reminds me of something, most probably some sciene fiction stuff. But I still know what.

Electric Callboy is basically Electronicore. They've been around a while, used to be called Eskimo Callboy. Changed their name due to fan feedback on Eskimo being a derogatory term. They really blew up when Niko (clean vocals) joined and they released "Hypa Hypa". They've had a series of bangers ever since. You should definitely check out Hypa Hypa, We Got the Moves, Pump It, Spaceman. There are quite a few more. But I'd end up listing their recent discography. :)

Really enjoyed your reaction! 😄A production detail in the giant disco ball scene that's not obvious is that for some shots the floor is covered in water for extra reflectiveness. When the three Babymetal members strike a martial arts type pose at 3m11s you can see the water splashing away from Moa's shoes. What a great reaction. Some info about Electric Callboy: They are a German Metalcore band formed in 2010 under the name "Eskimo Callboy" who take themselves not too serious and tend to create hilarious videos for their songs. After they learned that the word "Eskimo" can be seen as a derogatory name for Inuit and Yupik people of the Arctic they changed their name by replacing "Eskimo" with "Electric". The videos are almost all produced by the Schillo brothers (Pascal Schillo (Guitarist of the band) and his brother Oliver Schillo who own a video production company). Most of their songs are about partying and having a good time, but they have some more serious stuff in their catalogue also. They blend Metalcore with EDM, Techno, Pop and sometimes even Rap music which lead to their very unique style that is called "Partycore". There are two main vocalists in the band: Nico Sallach (clean vocals) and Kevin Ratajczak (harsh vocals) but both can do both vocal styles and back each other up if needed. Nico is a bit better with the cleans and Kevins harsh vocals are a bit better than Nicos. If you'd like to check them out I would recommend "Hypa Hypa" ,"We got the Moves", "Pump it", "Spaceman" or "Tekkno Train". For the more serious songs it would be "Hate/Love", "Parasite" or "Mindreader". Its definitely worth checking them out, lots of fun ahead.

EC mix EDM, Pop, and Metal and the genre is called Electronicore. Am i wrong or is the music in your intro from Adriano Celentano's "Prisencolinensinainciusol"? The disco balls in the video are real. Tank the Tech (EC's tour manager and also a reaction youtuber) said that their lighting director had to hang up over 50 disco balls for the video.

I heard someone on another video that reacted to electric callboy and got censored, that you should reach out to the band and asked to be added to their whitelist of some sort. EC has actual "reacting to reactions" vids and loves the community react videos so I'm sure they'd be fine with you. My other unsure thing is since this is actually off Baby Metal's channel, I don't know how they work with it as I'm new to them.

In the first Babymetal chorus (the English parts) the singer Nico from Electric Callboy is singing in falsetto together with Su. That's why it sounds so poppy. And that is why the Japanese accent is gone. To stress that, he is pointing to himself several times in the video (which I do not actually like that he does). The video and the song is a banger. This is among the best that have come up in a long time. I really likes it and have now seen more than 100 reactions. This is going to blow up Internet!

No, for Idols this is extremly unusual, but they have grown up and they have dcided that even their image can handle this move. Well Electric Callboy can act silly, but thid has both Production Teams in the Lead. For Babymetal this is no longer unusual. Aftet Kingslayer and Leave it all behind they know what they can offer for a 50/50 Deal. For Babymetal this is lean Production. It gas Advantages that Amuse by itself is a Talent Agency.
