Okay okay, I've seen some comments about 'wait 2013?! Aren't you suppose to be 9 now not 13' (I had fun reading hate ngl) to answer the confusion 2013 is actually where I started to draw not the year that I was born ^^ you can see my age there too at the bottom of the years. Confusion 2, is 'gurl, you cappin, TikTok was not out yet in 2017' I didn't notice this right after I read this comment. I googled it right away and it turns out TikTok launched in 2016 (I know mind-blowing) and it became popular in the USA in 2017, so I was relieved that I didn't misplace the art. I was also confused about my channel because I gained lots of subs with this effortless video showing my art years ago. Not that I'm complaining. I was actually grateful that I reach this far with one video XD. Nvm that thank you though 💗💖😊

I understand this too. I first started drawing when I was 13 to 14 now I’m 19, so now I’ve improved for about 5 years now. At first it seems impossible like you’ll never get better, but the more you practice the more you learn until eventually you’re better than you can ever imagine, and looking at your old art compared to what you can do now, it’s like whiplash! Hey u just have to practice and look at how others draw things and tweak them to ur liking/style of art (I’m like almost half a year younger than the creator of the video) and I recently got serious abt my art and I’ve tried to draw at least one person every two days and I’m Alr pretty good (even tho I did a semester of 2-D art but I do digital) Basically what I’m saying is practice, tweak how others draw to ur liking/style, set goals for yourself like maybe marking at least one pice of art a month or week, do work on what u can and can’t draw to make it better, and most importantly don’t give up

u don’t have to study, or even practice much. start with tracing over trace paper, then online drawing tutorials of something u want to do. it only shows the steps of how to draw what you want.

I guess i should put actual advice here guys what you need to study first is: Spatial reasoning and perspective with simple forms I highly recommend all of you to do DrawABox. Not just watch the youtube videos but the entire course online. its free. It will change the way you think about drawing and make learning everything else onwards SO MUCH EASIER at the same time, i also suggest watching proko's figure drawing course (try this again after doing lesson 5 in drawabox) practice the mannequins/gestures everyday since it only takes a few minutes to do ten of those then the anatomy course after the figure drawing course since its short (no need to do all the exercises, just learn how all the muscles work and stuff. this is best for people that work best with videos instead of reading hahaha) then after that, look at anatomy books like bridgeman and eliot goldfinger, then fill your gaps with any other resource you can find it will help you process the information by drawing what you are seeing from the books then just try to draw the whole human body with the muscles, starting with the bones. when drawing the human body dont be afraid to use the ruler for proportions and symmetry. use the ruler as your training wheels. you can use the ruler for perspective anything and you can take your learning into your own hands from there i didnt finish drawabox yet, im only on lesson 6 and on break because of school , but i can draw realistic/3dimensionally believable animals, plants, the human body, and faces now. i cant show my work because i have to protect my anonymity, but just trust me bros, drawabox really reaaaally changed my art. although progress will be different from person to person, and i probably absorbed his concepts well because i had a lot of prior experience with drawing (even if it was shit) just stick to what he's teaching and you wont regret it. you will improve no matter your starting point! you all can probably learn faster than me! you can do it!

Keep practising and learning, young artists out there ✨ To the people who started late in the game, please don't be discouraged by these things. Everyone has their own pace. I even stopped making arts for some time and even now, I'm still learning. Age is not something that define your art. It's the value and practice you put in to create it. You're not behind. Everyone improves at their own speed. Sometimes it seems impossible to improve and you lose motivation. But if you keep drawing (even just one circle on days you really don't have motivation) you will improve. :)

@@sanitysoda I know but I do practice and I like drawing but it feels bad when you draw all the time and it never gets better or it does but you wouldn’t call it good just fine. It really crushes your spirit especially when you compare yourself to others
