ART JOURNAL TUTORIAL: Blend a magazine image by creating a misty effect

I'm sharing a super fun and easy technique to add some pizzazz to your art journal pages: with magic and mist.
We're blending a magazine image right into the background, making everything look seamless and magical by creating mist with easy techniques and without fancy or complicated tools.
Here's what I used:
Acrylic paint (dark blue, white, pink)
Toothbrush
Paintbrush
Gelatos (pink and yellow)
Black ink for splatters (black acrylic paint is fine, too)
A magazine image
Brayer (totally optional)

Do you let the paint dry before you add the next step?

At the beginning, when I blend the background, I don't wait for it to dry. But in later steps, I think I did, especially before applying gesso and gluing down the image.
