Isn't it funny how people react to things? It just seems like so many people are filled with hate and judgement and disapproval and unkindness. I honestly just don't understand it. My husband often says I wasn't meant for this time, and that I should have lived in like regency England. Life is crazy. And sometimes, it feels really dark. All I can do is try top bring a little light and happiness and beauty to my corner of the internet. You might notice there aren't any negative comments on this video yet. That's because I'm sitting her blocking them all. Sigh. I just got tired of it I guess...

This is not the problem as I see it when purchasing from Temu. It lies in the cost of items. Yes, it is inexpensive to purchase from Temu. They sell cheap now which is causing people to buy from them and not from U. S. Companies. This will cause U. S. Companies to go out of business. Then we will be forced to buy from Temu and their prices will increase. We will then be forced to buy from another country and supporting another country and not our own. I urge you, all to please buy American.

Every time I am on Temu I see stolen designs for stamps, stencils and dies (Jane Davenport, Tim Holtz, Studio Calico, Everyday Explorers, Art By Marlene, etc.). I have even seen Stamperia paper designs on Temu so I guess I’m going to be busy emailing them next time I order storage supplies (storage items are really the only thing I buy from them).

Yep. Me too. And I know of an artist who has her cat designs being sold there. She's losing income due to it, and she's had no luck getting the items removed.

@@carolew994 If she reports them with the email address provided and Temu doesn't do anything, let me know and I will personally get in touch with the temu rep I talk to and ask her to look into it. They provided me with this email address to give out and I am counting on them to follow through and do the right thing. If they don't, then we are dealing with a whole other kettle of fish and I will need to re-evaluate things. Keep me updated!

Thanks for sharing your obvious delight at opening that Aladdin's Cave of art goodies from Temu - it was great to watch. I think we all know the concerns that are often expressed about Temu and I think your intro handled that aspect in a fair and balanced way, leaving individuals to make up their own minds - and that's as it should be. I've seen a few art programs recently where individuals have made surprisingly detailed landscapes just be using collage, so I liked seeing the range of scrap paper booklets that are available for people looking to do this kind of mixed media work. I'm amazed and in awe. Thank you so much!! 🙏☺️ Regarding Temu stating that they don't even allow penal labor... That's above and beyond what the US even allows! Here in Louisiana penal labor is an immense part of the state's coffers. The most notorious prison that monetarily benefits off of the work of it's inmates is Angola Prison. The male inmates there work outside in the fields under the swealtering sun, or work at their famous Angola Rodeo, or in the various other shops around the prison, making license plates and such. They make pennies on the dollar compared to the income the prison collects off of their labor. It's kind of a double edged sword because while the inmates are being taken advantage of, they wouldn't give it up for the world because they get to be out of their cells, be constructive, and are at least able to make an income, although a truly measely one it is. I will definitely be sending that address to the artists and companies I know are having their designs stolen. They have had absolutely no luck in having their designs removed from the website because China doesn't have the same type of protections for artists that we do here in the US. Thanks for the info. It will be sent along for sure. Myself, I have ordered from Temu, but I'm also cautious because I recognize designs that I know legally belong to other people, from artwork, to cutting dies/stamps, to jewelry designs. Yes, I am always super careful not to buy any of the "dupes" that I recognize, for that exact issue. And now that I have the email address, I will be reporting things that I see, when I see them. Unfortunately, it's not a temu only issue. When I was a jeweler before, I had some of my custom jewelry designs (Even my own photos!) stolen and listed as items for sale by other sellers on Amazon, Etsy, and Alli express. So I know how they feel. The world we live in now has gotten so dark and it's so disheartening sometimes. All we can do is our best, I guess. Thanks for watching!

So they operate on the steal ideas then see if they are pushed to remove, how about checking first a simple Google will show where the designs are stolen. I will NEVER shop on there aside from stealing they also take your details and screw people over stealing money from accounts so many cases I know of, plus it's junk obviously paid reviewers very careful select what they show.

The thing is though, they steal work from artists all the time. You can see many, many examples of this on their website. I contacted a couple of artists I follow on Instagram with screenshots of how their original work is being used on clothing and even as canvas art - and they replied that there is literally nothing they can do about it.

Speaking as an artist who has had my stolen designs sold on Etsy, Amazon, and AliExpress, yes, it's super annoying to have to file a cease and desist letter. but on the other hand, I understand that there's no way those corporations can police those sites by themselves. they would have to be aware of every single artist and every single product ever made and go through and look for all of them all The time. it's just not going to happen. It's an unfortunate side effect of the world we live in now. I think it's great that you don't purchase stuff from Amazon or Etsy or AliExpress, or Temu just so that you can avoid that issue! Some of us don't have that choice though, unfortunately.

I have bought a lot from Temu. But I recently had to write them. I bought some paper crafting paper packs that once received I discovered were direct shrunk down copies of the stamperia Alice in wonderland and through the looking glass papers. There was also a stencil I bought, but I was unable to figure out if it was the same vendor or not because item was sold out so I could not check on it. But the stencil had been cut directly from or using the big clock design in the stamperia Alice in wonderland design. I did write them and let them know. The items did appear as sold out almost immediately. Not sure if they actually took them down or if they sold out. But they were the actual stamperia images. Just shrunk to a small size. I will continue to shop there however because I have seen and heard evidence that they seem to realize there is an issue and seem earnest that they want to do something about it.

I also had to deal with it on Discord, and, after there was as bunch of trouble and I had to ban people and what not, just couldn't gather up enough courage to go back again... Mostly, I just chat with people through my Patreon Lunch Break on Patreon, which is like a mini weekly blog post. I'd never been on Discord before I set one up for the Patrons (at their request) and I really didn't like what happened on there, unfortunately. Oh well, you live and you learn I guess!

You know, people making these comments have a right to tell their side as well. It's not all hearsay, and it's sad that some people don't believe the artists this is happening to. I know of artists having their designs stolen. Imagine seeing your work, something you designed and implemented, being sold for half price or less on a foreign website (and of lesser quality). Can you imagine being in that position? I know of one artist who has pursued removal only to have items pop back up in another shop. She is exhausted, but has to keep attempting to protect her work. Just saying there are two sides, and there is a problem here.

I understand you don't want hate comments etc and I certainly don't want to make one. However just to let you know I have personally seen hundreds of designs stolen from artists. The worst are scrapbook papers, stickers, stencils, die cutting edge etc. It's highly likely some of you items are stolen designs. Things like art supplies are simply made cheaper so they're fine.

Temu is actively trying to remove these sellers though. You need to report the third party sellers that are doing this at the email address they provided specifically for us, so that they can investigate. I totally agree this is going on at Temu, but it's happening on Amazon, Etsy, Ebay, and AliExpress, too. It bothers me that people turn a blind eye to it on all those other sites, and then focus only on Temu. It just seems unfair to me. Anyway, please report it when you come across one so they can do something about it! And thanks for being respectful in your comment! I appreciate it!

I agree that it is happening everywhere, not just temu. It feels like a minefield out there.

I tried, anyway. It so sad that people would rather just belive a rumor then put in 10 minutes to do a search and try to fugure out and understand the truth for themselves... I'm an innocent until proven guilty person myself. Thanks for watching!
