Omg Celestia nooooo 😭😭😭!!! When you said you ordered WAY too many prints at the start of your art journey and ended up throwing like 500 prints away, don't do that!!!! I put those types of prints in to "surprise bags" and they sell like hot cakes at conventions and stuff!!! Especially if its a lower price like $10-$15 ! SAVE THOSE OLD PRINTS 😭😭😭💙💙💙

7:30 Huh. That's interesting... I'm a writer, and I have almost the opposite problem, if that makes sense? The (mistaken) concept I have of how writing should work keeps telling me that if it feels like work, I'm doing something wrong. Some part of me believes that, if my passion isn't making me fly right through it, I'm not writing properly. I have to make myself ignore that side of myself and get the work DONE.

First of all, love, love LOVE the shading! I know this may be a bit late, but congrats on 1k! Second of all, that lineart is fantastic! It will makes the shading and colours pop out a bit more! I would love to see tutorials about how you shade and do lineart!

A month after I turned 14 I had to get spinal surgery for scoliosis; it's a very invasive surgery with a heal time of 1 year. 4.5 months after surgery I was pressured into getting a job, on top of going to school. This job would not let me have even 1 weekend day off, and I had to walk 35 mins across town to get to it from school. I was overworked, depressed, underpaid, and in SO MUCH pain! I couldn't even ride a bike, or go out in a boat, or fucking JOG because my surgeon said it may interfere with the spinal fusion healing. And yet everyone in my hometown pressured me to get a job as a cashier at a big, glaringly Canadian outdoors/reno store, and go to school full time, and walk to get anywhere. 😑. I literally ended up running away from work one day and walking 30 mins, through a construction zone and out of town to my dad's house, because i was in so much pain and so overwhelmed that I would rather hurt myself more by walking to the house of someone I hate and have the pain only last those 35 mins, than stay at work and suffer in pain and autistic overstimulation for 5 more hours. The "work ethic" that is generally expected of people really isn't even work ethic, it's just complacancy to being exploited. But even when I'd explain my pain to everyone, they said that's how it is; life's tough. It's ridiculous imo, and it sucks that it's either go through that shit or... starve in poverty I guess.

When i had commissions open, i had commissions set at only 10 cents because that was the minimum for deviantart To be fair, I was like 12 and my art wasnt very good, I've only ever gotten one commission on deviantart for money Most of my commissions were done with in game items I have commissions closed as now i dont have much time to draw, but if i ever open them again, i'll make sure to price higher than 10-50 cents
