Operating the remote head (pan, tilt and camera zoom) from the back while also controlling the jib at the same time and getting these fantastic shots is great work!

it's surprising how professional camera movement like this makes a video more enjoyable to watch.

Swinging the jib and using the moving head is harder then you think. Takes months of practice. I run the Technojib sometimes. And boy its a 2 man job..But sadly im the only one operating it. U gotta multitask...The jibber in this video is beyond amazing. Hats off to him.

You showed some beautiful footage. I enjoyed seeing how the jib was used and enjoyed the snippets of what you filmed just as much.

A great selection of jib shots! So easy to get wrong, but nothing like that here!

Some amazing moves that thing can perform. I'm researching to make my own and was so inspired. It's simply got to be able to turn left/right as well and no one seems to be making one like that, then I come across the Mother of Cranes here. Thanks for posting.

Great video...now that's what I call a jib, seriously big and you can see the different perspectives it can create when used properly. Doubt if I can produce the same result with my 5' jib. Well done. Gary (Australia).

beautiful... Kudos to the camera operator(s) and Jib crew. That thing is a monster but you look at the footage and think, how the hell did they do that....

I've built an 8' jib with a mechanical Pan/tilt head. Shots aren't nearly as sweeping, nor smooth as these, but it serves in a pinch... cost a total of about us$100, so I'm not complaining too much :) Wish I could afford that Jimmy + Crew.

This is kinda intresting that I watched this some time ago and came across it while looking for demo materials to show an aspiring jib operator. What were shots that could in 2011 only be done with a job can now be done with a UAS more easily. How technology changes in just 5 years.Still nice shots.

The programme was made in 2003, so even older than 2011!
@mattandandyshowreel8 жыл бұрын
Hi, many thanks for your kind words, most of this was shot in 2003, hence low res and 4x3, shot on DVCam tape as well. Some shots could be UAV, but the pieces to camera and interviews with the camera only a few feet away would be drowned out by the rotor noise etc cheers Andy
@zacharypapenberg42247 жыл бұрын
I disagree with this. You cannot match the precision of a jib with a drone, that's for certain. As with what Matt and Andy said, audio would also be an issue. I'll take to the skies with a drone, but I'm keeping my beautiful jib. She does some great things.
