My uncle introduced me to the art of noise back in the early 80’s and the first song I heard was their beat box jam. However, he’d play this song all day ever day ad nauseam, then I just grew to absolutely love it! I’m in my 40’s now and I’d definitely say it greatly defined the soundtrack of my young life. It’s on my daily work music play list. Thax for making me remember great memories by making such an impactful and timeless song.

I discovered Art of Noise at the used vinyl record store (aptly named Flat Black and Circular) while attending Michigan State University around 1982, as I flipped through the myriad of bins full of records. I would then proceed to one of the two comfy "stuffed" chairs adorned appropriately with a pair of headphones for each chair, to listen. I immediately knew they were artsy, avante garde and different from anything I had listened to in prior years since age 8, when my mother had bought Cat Stevens, Tea for the Tillerman for my birthday. I was breast fed on piano sounds in the home, as my mother played a Baldwin parlor grande piano she inherited from her mother, constantly in our home ! : ) Well, to make a long story short, it's so nice to finally see Art of Noise in the flesh, as I have never seen who these wonderfully creative people have been all these years ! Thank you for the voyage to where no musical artists have taken us before into the far reaches of the rhythms of the universe (or universes, possibly).
