For authentic momo, gotta go either to Kathmandu or Tibet. This is derivative, not definitive. I’m not sure about mayonnaise as a dipping sauce, but looks delicious nonetheless.

In indore they don't serve soup with momos .. I am from West bengal and we get soup here , I went to indore as a hotel trainee and in indore the dumplings are only accompanied by mayo . I asked a nepali momo shopkeeper why they do so ? He replied ' that's how people like it here'
