It’s so true, Respect of a certain integrity tho might have to really be rooted within the individual. Like y’all said we all coming from different households, problems, and lives(parents). Therefore some people really do grow into adults already being overly respectful of those around them. But I look at it from the perspective of the 3rd world kid that’s first gen in the US, I see it lacks within the black community for countless of reasons that’s also not necessarily the individuals fault. I think the fathers in the house of course is the most important part, but for respect to be rooted frfr in someone it takes understanding that you are actually pretty stupid and everyone else knows something you don’t know

Respect for elders would come naturally at that point🫡 and an elder is just someone older than you
