I believe Strands finally went out of beta. They added it to the app. Probably why it was relatively simple since it was the first official one.

Funny that in Lord Reith's day, the BBC had guidance rules that banned the phrase " winter draws on " because London pronunciation rendered it as draw - rs on and that was considered rude ! Amazing the material that ended up being done on Round The Horne by the 1960s with Julian and Sandy talking in Polari.

Was a little off track to start thinking of types of fruit preserves or things you might put jam on, but JAZZ gave away the theme and I found the spangram not long after seeing it. Total solve time 1:39. CONNECTIONS 383, 8 4+3 base, speed bonus Underpants (0.5) - I thought this would be yellow They Carry Things (0.5) - I thought this would be blue. Never heard of a messenger bag so I thought it was like an actual messenger that carries a message. Freedom to Make Your Own Choices (1) Sign to Go Ahead (1)

Wordle in 3 CAPER STORE DROVE Connections: 2 mistakes, no order, over 5 minutes, got all categories. 6/10. Not terrible, but not great either. I was sure there was a Category along the lines of "Small in length", but it was a red herring. Strands: One of my fastest solves ever. Under a minute. Spangram first, and no hints. Perfect score!

CAPER MERIT FRESH ERODE DROVE Strands was done in under a minute. I saw "Jazz" and knew what the "Spangram" was. For Connections, I was going fast and was sloppy; I had a couple of errors.

(I may have used a hint once, in my first couple of tries, just as a test of how it works. I decided to do Strands every day after just a couple of times. Since then, I definitely haven't used a hint.)
