We have Hobby Lobby but they don’t really carry professional artist supplies. But Michael’s is coming! 🚑💨to our rescue. Thanks for the Hyatt's info. I was not aware of their existence. While it is a six hour drive for me and out of my way when I do travel north I'm still excited by by seeing the Ice Green Holbein colored pencil you featured (Is it crazy to get excited about a single colored pencil? No probably not lol). Because it is my favorite color of all time. And the only place I've ever seen it is when driving on a highway and pass through where the highway construction has cut through rock. In winter when it is relatively sunny the water runs down the rock face and freezes. When the sun hits it it has that otherworldly color, a creamy green-blue. It doesn't happen all the time as the conditions have to be just right but when it does I always want to oull over and just stare at it (which is a pretty bad idea on a highway 🙂). My camera never seems to do it justice. If the pencil had been named Ice Blue I wouldn't be buying it as I have that color pencil. But when I heard Ice Green I'm almost positive it's the color I've been looking for. Anyway, thanks for your video, I've subscribed.

You shared that perfectly!! I can see that color within your words! YES!!! That color, there is absolutely something about that particular color that just carries all sorts of excitement!! My favorite color too!!! If I didn't think I would make my husband sick, I would have every wall in my home that color! lol! Hyatt's is amazing if you are able to pop up there! They have many supplies open stock, and to come across that color, thanks to my daughter, was like finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!! I need to make a trip back, to make a part 2 of that video and capture the opposite side of the store I didn't have time to go through. I need to go with a sack full of money, and a box of Kleenex as I drool over everything there! Thankfully my husband is super supportive of my habit, I mean my supplies to make content! Ha! What a lovely art store! You should definitely try the faber-Castell polychromos coloured pencils, though if you are primarily a prismacolor girl, you might prefer the caran d'ache Pablo's as they are softer than polychromos. i think Pablo pencils have a really great range of aqua shades like the ice green you were looking for. P.s. i think people just say caran "dash" for pronounciation.

You should try the Micron plastic nib pens (PN) they are great for heavy hands.

I would be there for the whole day and just look at everything there,I wish we had art stores in my area. Oh wow,60$ for 18 water soulible pencils,I could never spend that much money for one thing..they're 30€ in Germany💀 But I think everything that's imported will be more expensive..but 60$ hell no. If you want and didn't already try them out,you could try the faber castell polychromos pencils,I love them. I would invest in a Etchr mixed media or watercolor sketchbook,waaay better than moleskin😅 I bought the moleskin one and It didn't take water very well😟

A 24 set of polychromos would be almost twice the price in Buffalo as compared to Germany as well.

Hi! We absolutely are so, so lucky! Their previous store I used to venture to for years was about 1/8th of the size. So many more products and expanded supply lines now! I could spend all day in there! I will have to go back for a part 2, for all the aisles I didn't get to! I have started to use the new pencils... stay tuned! @@jant4741 they carry a massive selection of open stock! Not sure if they have all the granulating or Prmtk natural pigment watercolors- if I had to guess without going back- I would like to say YES! I have another tour video coming out in this next week that shows more of the open watercolor stock displays and I can recall as well- they also have sets as well- they pretty much have everything! When I went to pick up a specific Daniel Smith color based on a dot card that I have - they had it!! I hope this helps and will certainly look more into it!

Hyatts my number one store to shop for art supplies, Since living near buffalo all my life, I've been shopping in Hyatts since they had a store in the Gallaria mall, downtown and now the Elmwood store. Great store for what you need in supplies, almost always has what I need. But can be a bit pricey sometimes.

I live about 2 hours away, and I've stopped in a few times. I gotta say pretty disappointed at the pricing of items. WAY overpriced then online (say Blick) prettu much everything in the store is retail in price, if something is on the Hyatts website for cheaper then in the store you pay store price ( I had this happen over a sketchbook, they would not match their own website!) Its a beautiful store that's packed with goodies, but I'll head to my favorite store: The Art Store in Syracuse, NY or buy online....the cost is a hard no go for me at Hyatts.

Why did you buy two small sets of watercolor pencils instead of a larger set with, for example, 60-120 different colors from the same manufacturer? NB: Please turn of the music, it is really bad and annoying.

Hi! I am going to do a comparison of the two brands to see which I like working with better. Some pencils are smoother to work with and others are more crumbly, etc.. Also, I am going to take into consideration on music and therefore selections. Thank you again for your comments!
