Thanks for your video, i am also student at NMA, loved to see your sketchbook, makes me thinking about also use one for my next assignements. I used sheets of paper in the past, but i don‘t like that there are not in one place so i can look at them again easily. By the way, I am in my 50‘s and at NMA since march this year but not that far than you in the assignements. You inspire me to go on in my studies - thank you. Hope we will see more art content from you 😊

And thank you for sharing your thoughts and bits of your NMA adventure! Maybe it can be an idea to put the sheets of paper in a fancy leather enveloppe or map so you have everything together? But you could try a sketchbook as well. The one I got was not that expensive and has 104 sheets of paper so you have some lessons to go before this sketchbook will be filled. This video was exactly created for people like you. Cause I know what it is to start something, to get demotivated and finally not to continue. It costs me a lot of effort too to continue because I know my art is not as refined as other artists I see and I struggle to do the assignments. Half of the time I had to do it over. But that's what I signed up for so I keep continuing and I'm so glad to hear that you will go on right now as well!

Thank you for sharing your art journey. It is inspiring to see the beginning sketches from your NMA journey and the beautiful work in your journals. What type of journals are you using for your art journals? They seem to carry different media quite well, gouache, water color etc.

Thank you so much for your comment and your compliment! I have lots of sketchbooks and journals like bullet journals. This one I showed in my video is from Canson Graduate, A4 size, 104 pages and 160 g/m2 or 98 lb. This one was not that expensive and for mixed media it's excellent. But as you learn to draw in the beginning you don't need that heavy paper.

@ thank you so much. Yes, the Canson Graduate is becoming widely used for art journaling.

Very nice work! Thanks for sharing it with us. A couple months ago, I restarted doing art again (after many years without), doing a piece every day for a year (if not more). I too, am in my 40's, so it's nice to see someone else doing art for the joy of it.

And thank you for leaving such a nice pleasant comment! You have no idea what it means to me that people finally start to comment on my video. And I'm also very happy to hear that you are also in your 40's and doing art and a piece every day is already a lot! I hope you continue this time. It is such a nice therapy self care.
