"And here's my canvas stash"... suddenly I remember the quote "art is the only excuse to acceptably be a hoarder". My studio is just as crowded, haha! You have a lovely space.

I just discovered your videos a few days ago and really enjoy watching (and listening) to you. The interaction with Mr. B is priceless!!! I am learning a lot from you even though I only paint with acrylic. Do you sometimes paint with acrylic? Thanks for the visit to your beautiful studio. I'll be continuing to watch more of your videos!!!

Thank you very much for the tour of your studio. I imagine that it's really nice to sit there surrounded by all you need and knowing that everything is only an arms length away. It certainly looks quite an inspirational setting and no doubt conducive to good paintings and enjoying every work you undertake. I am quite envious as I paint in my kitchen which is only just over 6 feet square. It doesn't stop me from enjoying it though. May I wish you all the very best for your upcoming exhibition and say many thanks for posting.

Clare, How do you suggest hanging your panels? And do you make your paintings on panels equipped with hanging equipment? I like your drying racks or shelves, also. On a regular I’ll painting, what is the drying time?Thank you for sharing your beautiful paintings with us.😍😍😍
@ClareBowenArtist2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sandra I generally frame my panels to hang them. But smaller ones look good propped on shelves or little easels. The drying time varies a lot with summer or winter and how much sunlight /UV is in the room. Summer touch dry about 3-5 days & winter can be 2-3 weeks. Also depends on paint thickness.

Can I ask what your stash of boards in the IKEA shelf are made of, where do you buy them and how ate they framed? I’m starting out in oil painting so it’s a huge learning curve..thanks
@ClareBowenArtist2 жыл бұрын
Hello, they are mdf around 2-3mm thickness. I buy them from wholesale framing companies. They are used for backing for frames. You can frame them like a canvas. I prefer not to put glass in front as it takes away the texture of the oil paint. Hope this helps. Good luck with your painting! 🎨
@TJ-jq9bz2 жыл бұрын
I was wondering how you store paintings that are dry on panels? I put mine in a box but they stick to each other.
@ClareBowenArtist2 жыл бұрын
Hello, I use drying racks - narrow wooden shelves. Then once dry I put them in a chest planner. So they don’t get stacked on until quite a long time after dried. Hope that helps. ☺️
@TJ-jq9bz2 жыл бұрын
@@ClareBowenArtist that does!! Thank you so much! Except I don’t know what a chest planner is😆
