ART STUDIO VLOG: making tiger rugs + handmade clay earrings 🐅

Here's what I did in my studio for the first half of September! 🌿 I paint and glaze some handmade air dry clay earrings, tuft a bunch of tiger rugs using a cut pile tufting gun, and talk to you about a bunch of big life changes that happened in September.
This is a long one! I spent a lot of time editing it to be fun to watch so I hope y'all like it!!

I live in Cali near where all that smoke was originating from.. well I'm sure a lot of the West Coast was on fire this summer.. so maybe not the only one.. it was the Truckee one (Mosquito Fire).. I was right on the edge of an evac warning.. luckily it never went SW enough towards me. But it was a very scary and stressful time.. every year we have to worry about it.

oh my gosh, every summer I think about how scary it would be to live right near the fires, I'm so sorry you have to deal with that! It's quite frightening when the sky is all smoky and there's no relief 😓

so glad i found your channel! i also tuft and am so curious about the spring balancer you have set up… do you mind sharing where you got that? looks like there’s a special blue piece connected to the gun?

My boyfriend actually made the entire counterweight setup for me! The blue part around the gun is just a casing so you don’t get yarn caught up in the gears (used to happen to me all the time!). He designed & 3D printed that part. I’m thinking I’ll need to have him show people how to make the counterweight, it’s been massively helpful!!

​@@bri.forcier ohhhh ok ok gotcha! thanks for explaining that! tufting for a couple hours is definitely hard on my wrists so getting something like this set up would probably help a lot. i know i would find it super helpful if you were able to share how y'all set that up in a future video!!
