I've layered water color pencils over copic markers to shade before, it gives the drawing a funky look. I recommend trying it out sometime!

if you need a good setup i’ve seen videos on tiktok where they set open two books/put a clothes hanger on top and lay their phone on the hanger :o pretty cheap and efficient way if you don’t have a lot of money for a fancy setup

My artists loft alcohol markers were already a little dried and totally crusted up and gross upon opening (mostly just random ones but it was half of the pack) wasn’t even second hand or anything. Fresh off the shelf. So I’m weary of those. But I can say artists loft ACRYLICS are great.

You actually enjoy the rendr no bleed sketchbook? I hated it, all markers were streaky and I couldn't blend the ink just sits there and just dries up! Glad you liked it though. Different strokes for different folks....

I used to pile books and put my phone on them with the cámara sticking out, and that’s how I used to record myself drawing 😂 it’s uncomfortable but it kinda did the work ( you can find phone holders on Amazon but they aren’t that cheap)

honestly I use a stack of books and then lay my phone on it so that the camera hangs over the edge and counter balance it with another item on top if needed.

I have another recommendation for permanent markers to see if you like it. The pen + gear pack at walmart. There's a BUNCH in the pack, and it's only $16!! I'm not entirely sure if they still sell them, but I'd suggest them over sharpies!

So we all know every KZbin artists has a makeshift set up. So the thing I recommend you do is there is this cheap thing you can get at Walmart or online. It's supposed to go around your neck and holds your phone but if you bend it and set it to the side and place something on it so it doesn't fall it's good and you can angle it to fit lighting. It sounds rlly shitty but it works well and it's rlly cheap

Huh thats so weird? Mine always work like a charm tbh! The only time that they dont work is if theyre out of ink, and the smaller ones dont line as good either, maybe you got a pack of the smaller point ones? They also dont work well over crayon or colored pencil (and sometimes paint can give them a little bit of trouble) so maybe it was the drawing? Im not too sure

can't nellie e i found several kinds a of sketch books, for five below 50 page 300gam water color book -50 pages ,mix media 50 pg, only 90gsm but not thin and cheesy hardback sketch book 50 pg again ans thinner but still strong all 5$ practice worthy and or gouache, and inktober for the hard cover i think
