Possibly the best, finest podcast you’ve ever produced. My pleasure goes beyond you painting, which is mesmerizing. It’s the trueness of yourself exposed-it’s the best therapy ❤❤❤❤❤

Goodness, I am just blown away by how fundamentally true so much of what you express feels to me. I have been making art all of my life and I have never encountered someone who describes the experience I have and love, as much as I can love anything in life, as clearly as you do. Heartfelt thanks to you.

Delicious way you illustrate your process with you self talk. Lots of info that resonates with me. Trying to determine my “happy ending” to my work is fascinating. I let some work sit that I love and I sometimes give it life just by the trickle, drip or swipe that nails it. What a validation I get connecting with our processes! Thank you so much… you feed my soul!

Maybe best podcast. A real inspiration for me, a fairly new painter, loving it, finding my way. The freedom to experiment and go for it is so new to me and I see how you handle the colors, the canvas, the second choices - it’s a beautiful piece of learning for me. Thank you so much for giving of yourself in this way. You are teaching me to let go of the constant analytical judging and quietly let intuition guide me. Giant gratitude. 💖.

As soon as you started mixing that Orange my eyes and heart leapt. Up to that point I had been feeling nauseous as I often do with teal or turquoise based colours. I know mostly from my stomach when a colour doesn’t feel right to me, rather than by my head. In the last class I went to, textile art, people would come to me to check their colours. I didn’t tell them what to use but I showed them how to “audition” colours with each other. I showed them how to twist threads together to “mix” different colours that they didn’t have. But most of all I showed them how to recognise gut feelings about colour, like my teal based nausea, or eye reactions, where they feel their eye is dazzled, or confusion, or a feeling of excitement or relaxation when choosing their colours. So many just pick up their habitual colours.

So brave to get rid of things. I tend to keep too much stuff and what to must try is different things and see what happens. Maybe paint for an hour watching the changes and not being so afraid . They say process is everything but I guess I'm still hung up on the outcome which is rather a detached view. Responding to what is happening is far more exciting and I can surprise myself. Thank you for this sooo much

Love this! It's teaching me to have more discipline creating. Have you thought about using your older art work that you are storing in collages?
@itsjudystube8 ай бұрын
As you have electronic images ditch everything that no longer represents you. I am still agitating on that. Or try collage and use them. I donated four huge bin bags of clothes. I had two friends put them in bags when I said to bin them. Then they had to put them away. I didn’t once look in them. Then two of us took them to the shop. Now I have more to go. It’s encouraging.
