Habe es letztes Jahr bereits am TV gesehen und a posteriori nochmals auf KZbin. Nun bin ich, ein Jahr später, erneut zu dieser wunderbaren Fassung des Weihnachtsoratoriums zurückgekehrt und es war wiedereinmal umwerfend. So wünsche ich jeder/jedem eine besinnliche und gesegnete Weihnacht(szeit) und viel Gesundheit für das neue Jahr.🎄

Bach's creative capacity is incredible. It should be named a World Heritage Site. I feel so proud to be European, the birthplace of Bach, who sends his light throughout the world. Thanks to Bach, singers, musician and conductor for this wonderful and great performance.

With culture, but also with wars and exploitation. But Bach was also a German, an Europe, and he brings the best of beeing an European to us. So I think, and people not beeing from Europe can perhaps also love this music? And I assure, when it comes to music and Bach, Im also proud to be an European. But not so much what we have done in history, about colonialim and so on. Maybe this will explain a little of my earlier words? Best regards to you!

Gibt es schönere, ergreifendere, aufrichtende Musik? Für mich nicht. Ich habe wieder Tränen in den Augen. Was ich nicht begreife, ist diese elende Husterei in die leisen Stellen hinein. Manchmal denke ich, dass das pure Absicht ist. Chor, Solisten und Akademie für Alte Musik erste Sahne. Bei den Musikern habe ich einige Gesichter vermisst, an die man sich gewöhnt hatte. Wieder ein tolles Erlebnis, wenn auch „nur“ vor dem Fernseher. Dankeschön von Herzen. ❤🌺🎶

Ich war 4 Tage später in der Elphi, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach und Mozart. Da war es das gleiche. Es scheint einen gewissen unsteuerbaren unbewussten Druck zu geben, genau in die 3-4 Sekunden Stille reinhusten zu müssen. Kann ich auch nicht verstehen. Jahreszeit ist natürlich leider auch zuträglich dafür, aber Weihnachtsoratorium im Juli macht ja auch keinen Sinn. Hinzu kommt natürlich die Akustik der Elphi, bei der man jedes Flüstern selbst von den obersten Rängen noch hört.

Als ich im Alter von 13 oder 14 von meinem Vater als Weihnachtsgeschenk eine CD mit Bachs Weihnachtsoratorium bekam, wusste wohl noch niemand wie stark mir dieses Werk ans Herz wachsen würde. Jedes Jahr höre ich ab dem 01.12 bis Neujahr das Weihnachtsoratorium und freue mich immer wieder mir bisher unbekannte Aufführungen zu finden, vor allem wenn sie so gut sind wie diese Aufnahme hier. Welch ein schöner Kommentar. Ja, Bach ist allzeit gegenwärtig. Auch ich habe in frühen Tagen meiner Jugend Bachs Musik lieben gelernt. Gerade das Weihnachts-Oratorium hat eine besondere Bedeutung. "Adventus, adventare" = Ankunft, ankommen.
