Does the capsule have air conditioning in it upon reentry of 5,000°

NASA should really work on a re-useable heavy launch system. Imagine the press coverage that would get.

Awesome work there. Going back to moon is a very important mission to learn to survive outside earth. It reassure human kinds continuing survival if a great disaster should emerge rendering earth inhabitable for many years to come. But later you can recolonize it

Can I ask, what is the benefit of the skip entry?
@Vector_Ze2 жыл бұрын
It will decrease the velocity before final atmospheric entry. But, I am only an armchair watcher, like you. Maybe a better answer is forthcoming.

Heat has more time to dissipate. So the "hot" period is longer, but less hot.

So the Artemis crew will need to learn two vastly different systems? Starship and Orion? Or will a SpaceX pilot take them down and then back up? I know much will be automated but I remember Armstrong having to take the joystick to keep Eagle from landing in a boulder field.
@michaeldemarco99502 жыл бұрын
No different than Armstrong having to learn Apollo and LEM.

Did I see Artemis tonight? There was an object that seemed to move with the moon, at the lower left from my perspective around sunset as the stars became visible. I looked later after the sun was well beyond the round of the earth, sunset area and it was no longer there.

I don't know I saw the original Apollo films red dots like volcanoes zoom in so close they did weird
@Vector_Ze2 жыл бұрын
@@Omar.R I'm not crystal clear about your post. But, remember that the Apollo films were created by human operated cameras. Artemis 1 is an unmanned craft.
@Omar.R2 жыл бұрын
@@Vector_Ze well I meant that it was so much more clear. Yeah your right. NASA needs to get the young kids involved. Show everything. We won't be scared to see structures etc.
