I have this kit and it runs great. Mine has a belt drive/reduction. I would suggest making the keel shoe removable for ease of taking out the drive shaft. Otherwise the rudder won’t be removable once installed. The person who originally built mine didn’t think of this and made it near impossible to remove the prop shaft to service

Great tip, thanks. I actually made the rudder removable for easier maintenance. I will show that in the final video.

Robert, thanks for the video! I've got the same kit! Just wiped the mothballs of her a couple weeks ago. Haven't gotten quite as far on the build as you have but do have some of the super structure built. Hope to have this one finished by spring! The big thing was getting her out of storage and on the work bench again! Keep up the good work she's looking awesome! I've got lighting and a smoke system to install. lot of work to go as you know! Happy Boating!
