I’m assuming you’re Aussie by your accent and “g’day” . I’m just starting out and was wondering what stains you use and if they go ok under water based varnish? I’ve bought a tin tin of Cabots water flat varnish from the green shed. Cheaper than model paints. Andrew

Yes I am Aussie , from Adelaide , South Australia. I use Feast Watson stains, and I also use water-based Varnish and haven't had a problem with the combination.
