In this episode I'm joined first by Amy Lawrence to chat about how this season has been a bit of a slow burner, but one which feels like it's coming to a boil. We discuss Mikel Arteta's steeliness, the job he's done since he took over, the way the team and the squad has been built, and assess it's ability to go the distance in this year's Premier League title race.
Then, I chat to Tim Stillman about Sunday's North London derby, how Arsenal Women are breaking records by selling out the Emirates again, the distinct fanbase the women's team have developed, as well as the return to training for Jurrien Timber and Jorginho's future.

I think it's inevitable that this team will add experience and maturity year on year. From the players to the manager. I believe that's the change we're seeing as it evolves.

how is it that Amy sounds like James or is it my ears playing tricks on me

Is it me or does Amy and Gunnerblog have the same cadance to their voices. It's uncanny, is it an Athletic thing or Arsenal writer thing. 😅 Which cane first the Amy or the Gunner? 😮

Not sure whether I'd be more impressed if the half minute passage from around 1:15 was pre-scripted or off the cuff. Either way, amazing 😄.

the amount of tunnel vision-within one club only (small sample, narrow context, no comparison with analogue clubs) analyses is shocking! She seriously blames current squad for not being as "charismatic" as invincibles. Football experienced 2 revolutions since there. Players don't have time for this trying to act cool bullshit nowadays, football is 10 times more coached and demanding. it became a game for almost autistic types. fucking look at best clubs. Who in City team is particularly old school charismatic? Nerd like KDB, teacher's pet like Bernardo? People always compare Arsenal with their fantasy of Arsenal. 1 TIME somebody said some realistic point: where is newcastle and mu this year? they both spend as much as we are, but in a year we are in the same plays + UCL play offs, and they are nowhere near. It's obvious mark of a fantastic job this club does every day that NO ONE thought about. And somebody manages to complain. Best times in history for this club.

What about him? He sticks to the high moral standards that Arsenal was built apon. Ego plays no role in Atetas decision making. He’s rebuilt arsenal, AND ITS HIS FIRST JOB!! unbelievable 😮

amy tends to ramble on for long periods & not give space to andrew to talk, and she interrupts alot. knowledgable but i don't enjoy podcasts when she's on. with every other guest on arsecast it's back and forth and we hear from both parties more. Just my 2 cents

I, like most people, couldn't give the faintest shit about the women's game and had to skip a fat chunk. Maybe put the dregs you know a lot of people will skip at the end? Or give it its own show?

@@housinauthority5258 It's not really. The womens team and mens team are two separate teams playing in 2 separate leagues. If Andrew randomly stuck in 15mins about the mens u16s in the middle of the show most people would skip through it. Give the women their own show instead of trying to sneak in bits and pieces into a show about the senior mens side.
