Thats great to hear that the company covered it! Makes this repair job a little easier knowing its not costing much, just time time and elbow grease. Reminds me of Vermeer. im the same way.... i lean toward being impatient as well. Always sucks waiting on others that can hurt your business!
@tedkahler97385 жыл бұрын
Still not very impressed on the dealer that sold it to me..... BUT the Company them selves made up for the lack of dealer communication. NoT every company has a way to contact them directly...

Like the idea of using it for silage Ted always love how spreaders break when it's cold!! Broke the floor chain on mine a month ago and of course 3/4 full of manure

I don't know anything about those big spreaders, but it sure seems like the floor is too thin. Cold weather sure can make repairs take longer!!
@tedkahler97385 жыл бұрын
Not sure i guess... seem all the major manufactures use about the same thickness of floor. all half inch. Supports ever 9 inches ... and i think that might be 9 inches on center. The custom crew has bent some of the floor supports and dont have any holes in the floor so i really agree that it was defective from the get go. They have thousands of loads threw theirs.

You are nicer than me I would've parked it at the dealership and told them I wanted my money back.
@tedkahler97385 жыл бұрын
AndersonCattleCo. The thought crossed my mind but with 4 other spreaders not having issues and 3 of them have 1000’s of loads I believe it was a fluke deal .... if they gave it back I’d be back to my old new holland...... so yea....

It has to be a bad liner because the ones I put in our trucks have been abused hard and they are good

AndersonCattleCo. Did yours have floor underneath or just the liner this has nothing but the floor cross members under it?

Is there a master pin or you're just breaking it anywhere? I'm young I use a big hammer and punch. My dad loves his air hammer for jobs like this. Your shoulders are wore out so he can't swing a hammer much. He's probably still faster with an air hammer than I am with a big hammer. LOL
@tedkahler97385 жыл бұрын
No mastor pin... All pin welded in. sounds the manure eats the keys and then the chain falls apart to they found its just easier to weld grind and beat the pins in and out LOL

Thanks for the video now we can get our flood replaced on our artex it's about shot
@tedkahler97385 жыл бұрын
Shot from use or??? The custom spreaders that i was spreading with said they have never ruined a floor yet..... IF i would have had to pay for this floor it was just over 1000 bucks .. If i take the chain out again ill make a small press deal to push the pins out
@haggardfarms95775 жыл бұрын
From use we custom spread with it have had it since 2016 and we bought slightly used cheaper then a brand new one for sure

@@tedkahler9738 cool cool, thanks for the reply. My dad has always had dewalt, ive added the 20v grease gun and the 20v 1/2" xr brushless impact to our line up. I think the 60v grinder is next. Love the vids keep doing what you do

Black plastic should last longer, UV rays eat white plastic. What is the expected life of that floor?
@tedkahler97385 жыл бұрын
Yea.... i dont think this was from the sun.... think the mix was wrong in the front section of this floor.... If it was sun damage it would be a widespread problem not few isolated cases Only had problems in a very small area of the whole floor as well... Its some sort of a poly.... i had a spreader with a black floor and it was hard to keep the floor from laying flat in the heat of the summer..
