Soft and milky feeling is beautiful. But next time you should try using more contrasting colors.

Haven’t tried my 1st pour yet, just need a torch. Would maybe putting down a thin coat of Gesso prevent the bare spots? Thx!

Or if he had made up enough paint! 😁 or he could have poured some white or black paint around the outside of his puddle before he started stretching it out . to help keep it moving .

Hi i love metallics. Thanku for demo. I really like watching you. You giving your little details!! What kind of drip tray do you have If you dont mind me asking? I've been trying to find something better than the throw away tin pans. I sit on my kitchen floor. I bought several diff containers/buckets but they are too high up when I sit. Any suggestions? I don't want to waste any more money Thanku.

Arteza is a fantastic artist quality paint , you only need to look at the many other videos on KZbin where they are used to wonderful effects in pours. People need to realise that the Arteza Mettalics are almost all semi transparent, beautifully translucent Pearl's , and as such are beautiful when used in contrast with opaque colours. Too many pearls used together makes for a very light shimmery pour with no impact. Tthey particularly make for beautiful galaxy and underwater pours when used with contrasting opaques , golds , dark blues and violets . I love them and am awaiting an order at the moment of their large size Metallics.

I have literally tried the Arteza metallics on a pour this weekend, using almost the same colours! I got virtually no cells either, I use a pva/water poring medium rather than the floetrol (starving artist lol) I don't think they're so great on their own for cell creation. However, I also tried using really cheap metallics from the pound shop (UK) and they were awesome, so... I'm thinking keep the more expensive paints for brush painting, and use the cheopos for pouring! Win win I'd say 😁

I'm very new to this pouring and what I've done really sux. Maybe add metalics to enhance other paints or use 1 or 2 to add a POP to a cool explosive cells pour? #LessIsMore #Sparingly

You are correct, Artezas Metallics are almost all semi transparent Pearl's, you definitely need to use them with contrasting opaques to get the best of them. They are beautiful quality paints ,I love them for galaxy pours and they have never disappointed me.

Your comment made me laugh in the way you described your work and said it really sux lol. Yeah I feel that way too after spending 100s and having similar results as in the video I kinda gave up.

Thanks for the review. I love Arteza paints. The acrylics are rich and react beautifully with the Winsor & Newtown Galeria I use as a base layer for Dutch pours. I haven't tried them with silicone because I don't use it, not being a fan of loads of cells nor of the cleaning necessary to remove the stuff. I find I get nice, gentle, cells without it and, as that's the look I'm aiming for, that suits me. I also have their watercolours, but as yet I can't do them justice! Those little pieces of wood go into the slots cut into the frame at the corners, not between the frame and the canvas. I've used them once but not sure how they work because they didn't seem to do anything to tighten the canvas, so maybe I used them the wrong way around or something? I don't know. The spray bottle works better for me anyway.

Debbie, I'm with you on this one - the spray bottle is all I need to tighten up my canvases. Thanks for the vote of confidence for the Arteza paints as well. The paints were really nice but not so great for pour painting. Thanks for your comment. Steve

I've used Arteza many times. I think your floetrol mixture was too thick. I use glue and water and get great cells. I love Arteza!

Me too! He didn't take into account that he was using semi transparent Pearl's and he used all pale colours with no opaque contrasts. There are only a couple of opaques in Artezas Metallics but they are beautiful shimmers in my opinion. Gorgeous for those galaxy and underwater pours.

I’ve bought some of these metallics and I’m not that impressed with them overall as they appear to be very dry when applying and I find I have to add some medium to help it. They do leave a nice shimmer, but they are not suitable for pouring imo

I find good Metallics don't play nicely with silicone at times , and your colours were just too pale to show through, you should have added a good contrasting couple of opaques for cells, ...but hey that's a gorgeous shimmery sky background.

You don't usually get keys anymore. When you do leave them wih the painting to be used in the future by the consumer. ---Dave...
