@ArtFadil8 жыл бұрын
+Matt Stapleton Thank you so much :D try changing the paper. paper is very crucial for artists pencils.
@mattstapleton17908 жыл бұрын
You're right about the paper. The first time I tried the Artist's pencils was on a 140 lb. hot press watercolor paper. It was my first attempt at replicating your "stare" video. I have no idea as to why I tried it on hot press! I think I have watched that video 100 times, and stopped it 500 more times to see which color you were using. Eventually, I was successful using Prismacolor Premiere on Strathmore 400 series drawing paper. I still struggle with skin tones, (red and yellow) lots of hatch marks. I'll look at your materials list for paper. So, thanks again for all that you do, I would not be where I am at now without your videos!
@ArtFadil8 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for all these kind words :D :D To avoid hatch mark use pencil with light pressure and build the color layer by layer. I usually draw in a very close zigzag manner and i move the pencil in all possible directions. I am using canson fine grain paper and it takes a lot of layers even with waxy pencils.

Luv ur art...its really inspiring...thank u )...it would be nice to see a video from u dat compares different colored pencils brands out there...Which do u think are a better catch??? Cretacolor karmina,derwents,Kohinoor,polychromos or prisma???
@ArtFadil8 жыл бұрын
+RJ Destin Thank you :) I cant really choose the best one. each has its own advantages and disadvantages. For me its a tie for derwent coloursoft , polychromos and prismacolor. When using pencils alone, polychromos is a bit dry and is not as creamy as prismacolor or coloursoft but when used with a solvent it easily tops the other pencils. So i choose pencils according to the subject that i am going to draw. i often combine a lot of them in a single drawing. But if you are going for only one brand, then prismacolor is the allrounder.
