Another accuracy note: It is widely accepted that Artemesia painted Susanna and the Elders BEFORE her rape, not after, meaning that experience did not color the way she depicted Susanna. There is a large push in art academia to separate the 'romanticism' of her early life experience and her art.

Pardon me, but her name is 'Artemisia', not 'Artemizia'. Her father was 'Orazio'. You keep pronouncing it: 'Arezzo'. The man who raped her was 'Tassi' not 'Tasso'. Your extremely poor Italian pronunciation weakens everything else you have to say. I appreciate that you are American; perhaps foreign languages don't come easily, but this lecture is simply an embarrassment. I checked out at 9:51.
